Darth Vader is having a lightsabre fight with Luke Skywalker. Suddenly he backs off and says.

“Luke, Luke, I know what you’re getting for Christmas!”

“No, father, you don’t.” Says Luke. “Now I must fight you.”

“Luke…” Says Darth, backing off a bit more. “I KNOW what you are getting for Christmas!”

“No, father, you don’t.” Says Luke. “Now are we going to have this fight or what?”

“Do not under-estimate the Dark Side, my Son. I know what you are getting for Christmas!”

“No you don’t, father.” Says Luke.

“Yessss, my son, I do for I have felt your presents.”

I used this for our workplace christmas lunch joke competition.  I won.

When i won competitions doing this one a long time ago, in a galaxy far away, it was the use of the office dustbin for tha Vader lines that really stole the show

stars wars nerds, my 10 yr old had an apoplectic moment watching one of the duff ones in which jake the muss is both jango fett and cody stormtrooper. What was the thinking behind that?. Starwars on the cheap and temuwera generic enough to not be memorable?.

Jnr would appreciate answers if you have any

The clone army is cloned off Jango Fett. It's a pretty major plot point.

...but so that I'm clear, the First Order Stormtroopers (Finn etc.) are not clones correct? The are stolen generations of children trained to be soldiers?

Correct. Empirical Stormtroopers were also not clones.

And it'll be the only one ever too, since Rogue One is coming out this year that will push Ep 8 back to be the ninth film.

Just watch Rouge One and i liked it, a good film. Just one minor complain about the face animation, mainly the imperial admiral and leia, i'm sure they put lot of effort on that but the technology is no there yet, it looks like a glorified video game.

I get the Admiral was important, but Leia was unnecesary.  They should have walked up behind her and said "I have somehting for you princess" or something.  Sbolutely nothign gained by ending on a CGI Carrie Fisher face IMO.

But it really looked as she did way back then and it linked it all perfectly. Peter Cushing looked pretty damn good actually. Especially if you watch Episode 4 again. The real man and the CGI are pretty close although as said by someone, it'd make for a great computer game. Speaking of which, I want XBox 360 and Xbox One to redo X Wing V Tie Fighter. a few graphic updates and this game would be mega awesome.

Yea totally, and that scene could have worked with the back of the head in the iconic robes from a new hope.  The CGI face added nothing IMO and just left it on a scene that will probably become dated quickly, whereas the robes would have done all the face needed to.

Peter Cushing was sometimes astoundingly good, other times the uncanny valley hit it hard.  But his character was always going to be crucial to the story so it was required.

just as an aside, on google play you can get for free X Wing flight for your phone or tablet. Brilliant graphics, no pop up adverts and reminds me very much of x wing v tie fighter. I had it on my phone for 3 days and now have it on my tablet. Awesome game.

Best scene of a great film.  Gave me tingles, even knowing the disc was going to get away to safety the tension was still done so bloody well.

I have a Samsung Galaxy and also downloaded "Trench Run" which is a live wallpaper. Even if you tap on the screen it fires lasers down the trench. Not using up too much battery power at this stage either.

Has anyone here already seen The Last Jedi? I have and thought it was better than Episode VII. Different style from the originals but still pretty good
