Ahh well just an update, despite having a gargantuan week including x2 massive curries and lots of alcohol I'm currently knocking on 8kg weight loss.

Ok slower than I thought but I've been bad at times either ill or drinking/eating too much. I've started to be able to get into stuff I didn't have a sh*t show of getting into before.

Sorry to hijack the thread but it's a little motivational extra to help me keep focused.

Have just started a challenge between myself and two mates where we all have a pedometer and basically run as often as we can and the first to accumulate 100kms wins. We're trying to decide on a punishment for the losers - maybe run 10k in a wet suit or something of the like.

Just motivation to get fit really.

Edit: and before anyone says it's easy to cheat - we have a mutual trust system and each of our flatmates will witness the recordings of each run (all three of us live in different parts of NZ)TopLeft072010-10-31 21:26:28

Im down to 80kg now. Wasn't running. Just eating less and healthier. And sometimes walking home from the station to Otaihanga.

And thats after the football season ended. Trying to take this a bit more seriously now. So just went for a 5.8km run.

Im happy it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.Stefan2010-11-17 18:46:30

Otaihanga rep. My mum lives on Pitoitoi St haha. Quite a walk though eh?

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Just round the corner from us.
About an hour walk. Not a bad one though.

Well done Stefan

I've lost around 11kg, may have put a kilo back on not weighed myself for a week. Still intend to lose more  and am looking at upping the activity as its getting harder to lose weight. I can get into stuff now that I've not got into since my mid 20's. Currently do some cycling most week days, do 30-45 min run 3-4 times a week. At least one big cycle ride on the weekends.  ForteanTimes2010-11-17 20:01:34

Makes my 5 times a week, 35 minute each way look pitiful.
