Ran out of fresh milk this morning, had to have some stuff from the shop. Can I just say it was f**king yuck! Why the hell would anyone pay $2.50/L for that crap. Might as well have put cold water on my weet-bix this morning.

That must really annoy you for you to actually write to them about it.

I did at one time. Have calmed down of late.

NZ's relationship with the broader Pacific irks me. It always amazes the paucity of the coverage we see by way of the Wellington newspaper.
PNG police killl children.
Four people shot at Mare airport in New Caledonia.
The ferry sinking non-coverage last week.
Indonesia assaults abouy six weeks ago in West Papua. ( for more on West Paua - https://akrockefeller.com/west-papua/ )

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

How'd you buy your kayak?
Put it on the PLASTIC didnt cha? eh? hmm?
Dunno, I don't even think he bought the kayak, he only looks at kayaks now and again in the kayak shop, reads about them in the newspapers and watches them on the telly. Of course he tells his mates he's a kayak's number one fan though.
To be honest I think he's a PLASTIC kayak owner.

Walking to & from the fireworks last night we walked passed the patch of grass where the Occupy "protesters" (who?) were, the area is just ruined
At last, we 99.99% have got our area of grass back. Power to us ratepayers.Wongo2012-02-12 09:30:31

c**ty bus drivers who refuse to let u on cz you've only got a $20
What's with them bus drivers? They are supposed to provide a service with customer focus! Get on (no pun intended) with it! I've had a similar experience except he let me on but with a roll of his eyes & a big sigh. Such effort!!

c**ty bus drivers who refuse to let u on cz you've only got a $20
I'm guessing their union meeting didn't go well yesterday.
I had an instance yesterday where the bus was stopped at the bus stop, with the light red (the st James bus stop is at the crossing lights). He refused to open the door to let me in. I got angrier and angrier, end up full on swearing and ended up pulling the fingers at him as I stormed off to wait another 45 minutes at work for the next bus.
Then on the next bus,the driver got off his seat, stood over people and yelled at them for tagging on while he was taking cash from someone (something that was actually encouraged when snapper was introduced) and accused them of not paying their fare. He eventually stopped and we drove off again. The people talk amongst themselves, and 2 minutes later he stops in the middle of the road and starts yelling at them "do you think it's funny?" they say 'no we aren't even talking about that' (they weren't). He then threatens to kick them off if they find it funny etc etc. It was terrible and bloody annoying.

Btw that's happened to me before so I looked it up.
It's illegal for someone not to accept legal nz tender, unless it's an obviously unreasonable amount of change. They should have enough moneybin their float to deal with $20 notes. Therefore itnis illegal for them notnto accept your money.

I'm actually pissed off enough to have complained.
I'm guessing their union meeting didn't go well yesterday.
I had an instance yesterday where the 945 airport flyer going to queensgate was stopped at the bus stop, with the light red (the st James bus stop is at the crossing lights). He refused to open the door to let me in. I got angrier and angrier, end up full on swearing and ended up pulling the fingers at him as I stormed off to wait another 45 minutes at work for the next bus. It was the full time the light was red that he refused to open the door,so about 30 seconds.
Then on the 1030 to eastbourne bus,the driver got off his seat, stood over people and yelled at them for tagging on while he was taking cash from someone (something that was actually encouraged when snapper was introduced) and accused them of not paying their fare. He eventually stopped and we drove off again. You guys are lucky you have a monopoly and can get away with such constant disgusting customer service. I have complained about similar things in the past, but never heard anything back. So am assuming nothing will be done. It's getting to the point where I'm considering making a bigger deal about it,because I'm sick of it and am sick of nothing obviously being done about any of this.
Thanks for your time,
Keegan

Could you imagine the chaos though if every person wanted on the bus with $10-$20 notes? I think it's also a safety thing for the drivers. It's horrendously expensive to ride the bus in Christchurch now if you don't have a metropass. Gone are the days of the 80c bus fare.

Ive had similar things with bus drivers here in hamilton. One day the bus broke down, the bus driver just yelled. "bus is broken down, everybody off, you'll have to walk".
and they all look so bloody angry all the time, used to feel nervous if i was going on with not the exact amount of change.

I understand if they ask you for something smaller, but refusing you service isnt on.not that many people pay with 20s. Especially since most passengers have snapper now anyway.
A few weeks back I saw a bus driver getting pissed off at someone for trying to pay with a $20. So when he saw me next in line, brandishing a $10, he got a bit upset with me as well. Started telling me off before I could even inform him as to my destination.
The look on his face when he realised my fare would be $9...

Complaining about $10 is just as,if not more pathetic. No matter the fare. I can't believe they get away with such poor customer service. They're actually quite abusive at times. I can't think of any other business or job where you could get away with it to such an extent.
