same shark happens in wanganui, had a mate round playing FIFA on the PS a couple of weeks ago, when he went to leave he noticed glass round the back of his car. someone had smashed his back window just for the hell of it, they did not take anything from his car or even go into the car. there are always going to be arsholes everywhere in life.

Wasn't sure whether to post this here on on the Hmmmmm thread, went and got a quote today, Gonna cost me $80+ to get the scratch sorted. I am kinda happy it does not cost more, but pissed off at the AHole who did it in the first place.

I hate social media. Got to get off Facebook and Twitter, get into too many disagreements with dumbasses

and this is the exact reason why I don't use it. The old girl uses snapTwitface but I seriously wonder why.

I'm playing to try stay off them more. Have deleted apps off my phone of them so it's harder to log into them and waste time

i have never been on any of them, though i do sometimes think i miss out on a few things by not being on social media 

A couple of years ago I was getting too wound up over arguments that I would have on Facebook so I just stopped posting about subjects I knew would generate arguments that would get me wound up (politics, social issues etc) and I stopped engaging with other people's posts about those subjects. I still see stuff which pisses me off but it pisses me off a lot less than if I argued with a dumbass about it. 

You don't have to quit social media to get away from arguments with dumbasses, you just need to quit arguing with dumbasses on social media!

I got in the worst argument today on social media, someone was complaining that the Mozilla rebranding was racist because it had African women, an Asian guy, an Indian guy, a white woman, and a white guy - but the white guy was wearing VR goggles and had a smaller image than everyone else, and therefore was marginalised. 

I knew the argument was pointless when he started pulling out biased and flawed statistics to show how white people are genetically superior to other races. There are people out there whose point of view doesn't make me angry, it makes me sad.

Yeah plans is to avoid those topics rather than social media entirely but could pay for me to cut back my social media use. Especially as we go into another election year

I've just stopped replying to people I disagree with, mute them if they abuse me on my posts.

I generally share tweets to DMs and discuss with people who I know will have convos with me that even if they don't agree will have a good discussion and share view points and reasonings.

A climate change denier is now in charge of the worlds second largest polluter. That pisses me off, I want an inhabitable planet.

Summer School! Sure your son/daughter that missed out on those standards last year can suddenly find a way to complete 3 or 4 of them in 2 weeks so they can still go to Uni this year, what do I know about how long it takes to do our courses...

Should I tell you about that time I did Bursary Calculus by Correspondence in my 5th form year, and did the 2nd half of the course in 6 weeks as I had been off school and missed a long period of class time so didn't keep up? And still got a B? :P

Fudging Sky/Vodafone.  Set a series link to record.  They change the name of the programme ever so slightly thus ending the series link without warning.  Only discovered when I went to watch episodes and discovered they had stopped. Has happened twice now with the same programme.  Frustrating.

Same here, it's pretty much just a reality tv show with huge stakes involved.

I imagine it will be worse in Canada.  But so long as he keeps doing crazy shark and people try to stop it, he'll be in the news a lot.

It will ease off 6-8 months after his impeachment.

His impeachment is not guaranteed, the Republicans have stood by him through some pretty unconstitutional things and it's clear that he believes that his power is absolute, just look at his attack on the judiciary.

I also wouldn't rule out trump getting a second term with the Republicans making noises about rolling out voter id which is used in some red States and restricts voting to those who have drivers licenses which favors the right.
