I ate my one today by taking the top off and eating it with a knife and fork. No regrets.

Hahahaha actually yes... bacon/cheese/tomato/lettuce/red onion/mayo. The pic could have been a lot better if I put some angle on it...

For the record it's left over mac n cheese today. Two types of cheese in it, and this particular recipe seems to improve on the re-heat, so looking forward to it.

Yes, well it seems like it today. But, I didn't realise how shark that shot was until after I uploaded it, and by the time I checked the burger was already gone.

Not being allowed to bring my flag into the game because the stick was over a meter, despite the fact I've always been allowed to bring it in at this height. Had to  snap off the end till it was under a meter, but it was left with a relatively sharp end, making it more of a weapon than before...

Lachy.  Let us know next season.  We'll talk to Red Badge and get an approval for the longer pole.

Some of ours are 4 meters but we just take them in through the security gate (or leave them at the stadium).

Nah don't worry about it. It still works as a flag and it's only a small one compared to your guys flags. It was just annoying to not to be able to bring it in at first. It certainly didn't help my mood when I snapped it down to the point it was only 3cm over and they still wouldnt let it in. At the end of the day I got it in, so it's not a big deal. It just pissed me off

If it was 30mm over I could understand, but 3cm is just taking the piss

What about the guy in the UK who put a Pug on youtube that gives the nazi salute when he says "seig heil", or "kill all jews"?

Obviously grossly offensive, but he's actually been convicted and is being jailed.

This is what Gervais is speaking out against right now - saying he should not be convicted for this.

Thoughts?

Interesting piece on this by a NZ Lawyer, with a NZ perspective i.e. could this happen here. I think he's bloody spot on.

He's obviously not a Nazi or an antisemite himself, and nobody would be dumb enough to be converted into one by watching the video. The conviction is grossly out of line, especially seeing that he's a joke character. Let's lock up Gilbert Gottfried next, eh?

Really good article by the way.

Had this rant before but private numbers who keep calling but not leaving a message. I surely can't be the only person who can't often answer their cellphone at work so just leave me a message or send and email and I can get back to you later. Calling 6 times from a private number and not leaving a message is no use to either of us.

I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that they don't want you to get back to them later and are just spam artists.

There's a scam going around at the moment that if you call the number back, they keep you on the line and your phone gets charged. It's normally from an overseas number though

Yeah you're probably right about the unknown numbers being spam.  Have heard about the international number one too and I've also been getting daily calls from a +82 number which I assume must be part of that so haven't answered them.

Yeh I have had 2 missed calls lately, one from Cuba allegedly. I answered one which came up as from London. He started going on about Pay Insurance so I hung up.

Watching sport with ads interrupting coverage (not just going during breaks in action).  I know Sky gets a bad rap here, but I don't know how people can stand free to air sport.  Trying to watch the track cycling, and they are just driving me bonkers.

Look at it this way (Same goes for Sky too by the way) - You are watching continuous adverts that are rudely interrupted with 5 X 2 minute programme breaks in every hour. I wonder if ANZ has anything to do with the promotion? I must remember not to open an account with them..

ANZ Bank - For the third time in 9 months an automatic payment due to go out on the 20th, gets changed to the 30th, which falls on a weekend, so it goes out on the 1st or 2nd of the new month. Which means my interest for the month drops from $1000 to $30!!!!!

Each time I get humble apologies from the bank & they then take over a week to adjust it! But it keeps happening!!!

Both really.

Was only a review not an audit so the person I am dealing with has been very helpful.

Over-calculated my credit adjustment for Home Office expense for the previous two years. Will be able to rectify the issue but will require a lot of fudgeing about to straighten up my error.

The fuuuuucking clowns who eat chippies etc through https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Quiet_Place_(film)

The whole film is based on silence, it raises the tension - that's what makes the film work. If you can't even be bothered to google a film to know that you can't eat load noisy food then don't go to cinemas.

Honestly what you can't go without food for an hour an a half?

I am not christian (or follow any religion) but I will still defend his right to believe in what he wants.

So he thinks god will send gays to hell. Big deal.

This was all just a media wind-up imo: they set him up with some loaded questions and created the scandal. Pure click bait stuff.

With social media being the boorish beast that it is, once the story was out (no pun intended) all the journo's had to do was sit back and watch the shark fly around. Job done.

If you really want to live in a "tolerant" and "diverse" society then how about practising what you preach and that means tolerating the fact that other people may have different beliefs than yourself.

Is going around bullying and hating on people whose views you don't like really the way forward to a better society?

Once you attack someone you lose the chance for any meaningful dialogue as well and with it any chance for positive change and/or growth for all parties. Instead views become entrenched.
