99000 people at the MCG to watch Real Madrid v Man City.

But how many of them would turn up and support their local A-League team?

That could equally apply to why people don't watch the Nix as oppose to watching David Beckham.?

There we go fixed it. I don't think many more than normal would turn up to see LA Galaxy without him :D

The TVNZ sports "reporter" in London incredulous that there is absolutely nothing in terms of publicity about some egg ball tournament happening in a few days time.

Instead it's all about Queen Lizzie and Rooney.

Brilliant.  Welcome to the rest of the world TVNZ.

It is really weird being in the UK during a rugby world cup, because people just will not accept that, as a New Zealander, you are not interested in it. People keep coming to my desk to talk to me about warm up games, injuries, fantasy rugby world cup, etc, and as much as I keep saying "yeah, I am not really bothered about it, but West Ham are at home to Newcastle on Monday night, so that should be a cracker", they keep coming back and doing it again.

what makes it even worse is that when New Zealand get knocked out, they will all come back and start trying to mock me and none of them will believe it when I try to tell them that I find it as funny as they do.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Sounds like the same cods who ran around saying "It was only a Friendly" when Australia beat England 3-1 in 2003 at Upton Park

Not sure if this is the thread to place this but. Congratulations too to Christiano C Ronaldo on becoming Real Madrid's all time leading goalscorer in just 7 years. 229 goals in just 203 matches. it took previous holder Raul, 550 games to get 228. Total respect for this.
