I have set myself a goal of 1 million followers.  You have to aim high.

I don't post too often - it's about quality not quantity ...

(when I first got on twitter one of my friends used to post about what he was eating for lunch every day and many other inanities - I was quick to unfollow him ...)

I follow you Bevan, and I noticed that you follow me too (and I love you for that).
 
I have started to tweet more, but I am trying to find the balance between entertaining and just ramblings.  Every now and again (like last night) I will get squibbly and then try to watch the MTV music awards which ends in a bit of a stream of rant (it actually could have been worse - halfway through one tweet I forgot what I was tweating about and just gave up).
 
It also takes me about 25 minutes for each tweet that I do as I type it out and then realise that I have to lose about 40 characters from somewhere.  I am a stickler for proper sentances (although my spelling is still mince).

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

50 followers.  I thought I had hit a glass ceiling in the mid 40's but pushed on through and made my half centry.  I waved an immaginary bat to the crowd when I saw the news, but realised that I am only part way through the job and had to crack on.  The game face back on, I returned to tweeting about how I had sum toast lolz and sending pretty disgusting direct messages (when I only learnt about today) to Jessica Ennis.
 
Thinking that a Scarlett Johansson style photo of me might help boost my numbers.......

I am having some wonderful banter with someone in Aussie about what homeless people want.  He is trying to round up all the little things you get free in hotel rooms (shower gel, moisturiser, shower caps, etc) to give them, while I am suggesting that they would prefer food and clothes.
 
If I'd known that you could have arguements on twitter I would have joined years ago.

Got reply back:

"please stop these stupid phoenix tweets, you're ruining the awesome mood on twitter at the moment"

Which I thought was a bit disproportionate, and rather ironic because he killed my mood! And heck, that was me holding back!
