Haha Not old, just looking after myself. Thats why I'm still playing! Not available tomorrow but I would suggest a few changes if we want to have a chance tomorrow.
G playing a sweeper role behind the back 4 and the big Blonde Guy who's name I forget playing in front of them, 3 in the midfeild and Kenny up front. We should be able to frustrate the Zimba's defensively and beat them on the counter attack with Kenny's pace.

you mean Myself playing sweeper??? Heck I've neve done it before - in fact I've only started playing midfield at the beginning of this season, as in the past my 'deadly instinct' compelled me to play up front and score a truck load of goals..

But yeah I'm keen, will talk to terry and see what he reckons. The tall blond guy is Mikey, and yeah I agree, he does a great job in front of the defence..

so tony, are you coming to support us tomorrow? We're gonna need a lot of support..I'm working tonight and will prepare lunch for the Argo guys (the residents) for tomorrow and will pack it, so they should be able to come and support us too...

I just hope our defenders play a heck of a game, cause the Zimbabweans seem to have a great forward line...maybe we should play 5-4-1 (with Leigh playing as Number 10, and Kenny sole striker)...

man we went down 5-2 to Assyria. Bloody little dude up front is way too fast!! Haha. Reminded me alot of playing the greeks, real feisty game.

4-0 first half and we actually dominated the second half quite well, pity about our poor start really.

On an individual note, I scored probably my best ever individual goal lol, so that's always a bonus and I was playing as Sweeper too!!

it was a good game. We got an early lead and we held Zimbabwe off well into the second half. Then you got a much deserved equalizer. But the second goal, truth to be told, was rubbish. The ref had just fouled me for "only tapping" a guy on the back during an aerial battle, and your striker totally pushed our goalie, with two hands.
Anyway, the "goaleada" which was announced before the game did not arrive, and if you guys are the defending champs, I'm sure we can still do well in this tournament. Now our number one priority is to beat the Police XI and then we'll see from there.

Tony hope you'll be back next week...

I think he means that we have proven a tough opponent by defending as much as we could, while thier strikers missed a couple of really good opportunities - which are both true statements.
Perhaps we should add that the white guy they had up front should probably take up Diving as him main sport as he tried so hard to get a penalty, but the ref didn't fall for the trick..

Hi Guys,

Exciting games this week from the predictable to the wildly unpredictable. After two rounds, the result tables are still difficult to predict and this makes next week games final before final. as we held to the next week games, I wish all the team best of luck.

Please note:

Please double check your fixture to know who your team would be place after next week. i.e the 1st team in each group after 3 rounds will go straight to the semi while the 2nd team in each group will play for positions (5th, 6th, 7th and 8th).

Players issued Red will miss next week game and are required to pay their fine of $10 before playing their next game.

Players issued Yellow card will play next week game but are required to pay their fine of $5 before playing.

Sunday Celtics
Crunch match next week between Group C leaders Sunday Celtic and Somalia. The Celtics dominated the first half against Turkey but could not find a way past the surprsingly agile Turkish keeper- The second half saw two well taken goals for the Celts, Turkey pressed to find the equaliser but the Celtic Keeper Rusty kept a clean sheet.

I thought that Assyria are not in the competition anymore, or will not be able to play the whole tournament out due to attending another one in Australia?? Can you confirm this Tayo, for if this is true than the second placed team in Group A will go through to the play-offs??

Also, the Goal Scorers for Sudan are wrong, Jackson has scored one, Alex Young has scored one and Matthew Henderson ( me :D ) has scored one, can't let my 5 minutes of fame go un-noticed lol :D

And Tayo spelt my name correctly, funny cos its not as difficult as some of the other names. lol.

Yes, Assyria team will be heading to Australia after the 3rd round. Unfortunately, they would not be able to continue with there good form. They are looking very fast, fit, and accurate with their ball distribution. I think the tournament have given them a sort of form for them to win the Australia tournament. Fortunately for Sudan and Kiwi Bafana, either of the two will proceed to the semis depending on the result after 90minutes on Saturday.I guess Sudan still got one more chance to prove to the rest team, they are the defending champion!

Hey Tony,

Wondering if you would like to select a team for the novelty match. I'm still not sure whether to have a mixed team (Male & Female).
Otherwise, we just organise a team and I will organise from the participating communities another team for the match.

Yeah but you forget the refs in the NRL aren't allowed to let the warriors make it any closer to the finals than they were.
