GinaVaa that wasn't really directed at you.  As I've said in some other posts, you've made some valid points.

Was a genuine offer.  If your club won't pay, let me know.  I'll pay, and I'll name and shame them.

Smithy - I find the best way to learn new coaching techniques and tactics is through watching games at an elite level. Can I have $50 towards my Nix season ticket?

Oh I wouldn't want to offer the lamb to the slaughter, they already struggle in this recession and lack of Trust funding as well. Which highlights my concern that the impact may have to be worn by clubs, furthermore, having the flow on effect of increasing subs to compensate.

Struggling clubs could maybe apply to the Water Safety Council for funding.  They are generous to football.

The funny thing is the cost of these courses are minimal, and you guys are right, most clubs pay for attendance at courses.  You only have to do one module of the level 2 course to comply (its around $100) and the level 1 referee course is $23.50.  Not much at all, and it everyone benefits, the coach, the referee and most importantly, the kids!

So you think it is good to draconianlly introduce and ebforce more rules on kids soccer, change rules at teh depth of night while everyone is asleep. Then change the ruels agian so all volunteer coaches, managers have to re-sit all their so-called qualifications on an annual basis. The Whoel of Football should be known as Hole of Football or Whole of Football, $$$.

I think you know where I'm coming from.
From your posts I gather you are rugby orientated.
Do the elite youth in rugby have to pay for their acadamies, rep tournaments, playing gear, etc.
Do the clubs get cash re-invested to them from the Union?

I think you know where I'm coming from.
From your posts I gather you are rugby orientated.

Obviously comparisons with rugby are a bit daft because rugby has a massive income stream from TV rights that football does not have.
 
Are you all trying to tell me that less education, fewer trained coaches and lower standards for youth football are the ways you would advance the game in this country?
 
If not, what would you suggest?
