Multilyth: whats your problem?? I have never said I'm better than anyone one of my team mates, "we" played pathetic! We seem to have forgotten how to play football and just seem to boot the ball up field all the time rather than think and pass. I am having a torrid time this year, and am looking at the possibility of a new start next year, probably club footy rather than varsity. But seriously, have all 175 of your posts just been abuse because the 2 I see in this thread are just sh*t-stirring.

At 3-2 it was going ok, we were well in it, then tonners got one just b4 the break to make it 4-2 at half time and that killed us off.

We didn't keep the ball in the second half, no control in the midfield at all. Pretty lucky to keep it to 2-0, they passed it around really well.

Looking for a big derby against rangers to kick us into life :)

The old 'Hand Ball' from the keeper had you boyus all worked up all game. Sorry about that chaps, but it was pretty funny!!

That was all good BigDunc. We would have done exactly the same, especially seeing that our keeper was a stand-in because he got elbowed in the face by one of your strikers (not the short one with long hair, the other one), but no hard feelings, you deserved the win.

Moving on, a great Uni derby is taking place this saturday. 12.30 at Nairnville (moved from Kelburn to make way for the 2nds), Wanderers v Rangers, should be a good one.

I cant claim that one Im afraid. I was too slow to get anywhere near the keeper the whole game!

The Tonners are storming back up the table! If we hadnt defulted the Upper Hutt game , we would be top. Look out Div 11 were on fire!

But you're not 1st yet big D  After giving uni a good thrashing 13-0, Stags have outscored all opposition 26-1 last 3 games. Tonners storming? Stags are raging!

A 3-1 win to the Tonners over Uni Rangers at a waterlogged and smelly Anderson today.

Wanderers continued our bad form by goin down 3-0 to Lower Hutt SG's at a bog-like Fraser Park. We had LH pinned in their own half for about 70-80% of the 1st half, but then our defence lapsed and gave up, thus letting LH get the best of us. Our new GK had a great game none-the-less, but was caught unaware by a great lob from the LH #7......who, by the way, is a good player and captain, but needs to learn to stop talking sh*t/whinging and get on with the game, especially seeing they were winning!

I'm guessing its safe to say the season's over for Cap11 now, but if we're lucky 1 more game might be on the cards. Whatever happens, the top 4 teams (Stags, LG, Meke, Rangers) are all in a position to take out the title.

Well they wanna try get through 2 more games (Meke,UH for us) to complete a full round.
Whether that will happen or not we shall see. It's gotta stop raining at some point doesn't it?

Although it was pissing down in town last night, from what I can remember :)

If we play this weekend, Stags v Meke and LH v Tonners should make for an interesting end to the season :)

My picks: Stags by 4, Tonners by 2

looks like the Stags and LHSG will be coming up to 10 for next season! I was hoping to see Big Dunc's Tonners up as well.

I thought it was only the top and bottom of each league that went up/down?? Also, Wanderers play Stop Out this saturday, with us Wanderers needing anything other than a loss to save ourselves from relegation! (providing my assumption is correct and only the bottom team is relegated)shabba1212008-08-26 14:32:41

top and bottom for sure I thinik second gets the option of going up.

How do they choose the 'option' then? Is there a play-off between the 2nd from bottom of the higher league and the 2nd top of the lower league? I'm just worried because we, Uni Wanderers, have had a sh*t season and are hoping to avoid relegatiomn this sat.

When we were in div 11, we finished 3rd equal and got moved up to 10, I think the bottom 2 got relegated. I think it has a lot to do with numbers of teams etc, they don't want too many teams from the same club in one grade. You may be lucky, who knows.

The wheels have fallen off the Tonners Im afraid. After having 80% possession against Lower Hutt and not being able to score they beat us 1-0. Then on Saturday we were held 1-1 by a very determined Stop out side. Hats off to them to be fair. ( Oh and i missed a pen)

A great 3-1 win over Stop Out today in what was dubbed "The Battle for Safety", due to the loser of the match being relegated, ensured Uni Wanderers survive another season in Div11

Why on earth has Cap Football decided to finish the season with our table on only 9 games played?! Why not just use the results up to today? If you missed out due to cancellations, then TOUGH LUCK, we have all had cancellations throughout this season! It makes no changes to the final placings of the top 2 teams and bottom 3, BUT it makes no sense at all.

another round of big scores this weekend as well for div 11, BNU have confirmed that they should have been playing a div or two higher, the Petone side look real dangerous and the Stopout team are full of young kids that don't stop running.
