correction - wainui are happy to have their local players return to the club they call home, after spells at other hutt valley clubs. no money involved, just coming to an environment which is getting back to the good old wainui days of the mid 90's!!some decent football and good times!!!might be too late too push for promotion but i can see the rest of 2010/2011 being a strong one at the fortress prouse.

Yes that would be correct. Not always welcoming to ex Wainuiomartians I have found. More interested in giving mates another game.

WU 1 - 2 LH

We were rubbish. Won't talk about the ref but feel sorry for the LH guy who got two yellows, neither were justified. Hard luck.

Fuck this stupid game

Wainui stroming up the table. I wonder how if they can maintain the run when they meet Olympic next weekend?

Just got word that our second half substitute had his ankle broken in a challenge. he was our only sub due to late illness and injury and he came back on to finish the game (70th min), albeit basically limping around the centre circle.

Fuck this stupid game

despite what you might think from the score, we actually had more shots/ possession than the Bubbles who I thought were average this time round. Diff was their striker (who is a bit of a knob if his celebration is anything to go by) and their goalie, who I think is the young Withers= good prospect.

Really I thought the fact Olympic played 40 mins with ten men and the last 5 mins with 9 men and the fact they  still scored 3 goals showed who was the far better team in the mud bath at KP

you made a sub with about 2 min to go - so not sure why you would have had 9 men. Anyway Im not saying we were the better team, as we got humped, just saying we had better possession/shots but failed to score.

Olympic ended up playing with 9 men for the last 5-10 min (2 red cards...bad or good the Ref made a decision...)  I do sort off agree with Feverish...as they had quite a lot of possesion....but they did nothing with it... We played what I would call effective football...quick counter attacks and scored some nice goals...pitty about the condition of the pitch....I mean not even the ducks would "play" on it....
Our young guys deserve to lead Div 1, they are a great bunch of young guys and Matt is getting the best out of them.... they are scorring lots of goals and hopefully they will win the Div and get promoted to the Capital Premier...something that should had happended last year...but never mind....things do happen for a reason...!!!

Just the fact that you have admitted that, YOU deserve something....I am sure we will find something to "award" you by the end of the season...as this needs to be "recognised" accordingly...I mean ...you missed the fact that a red card (2nd  one...!!!) was given to another player from your opposition ....!!!!!! Man ..that needs to be punished ....!!!!!

Olympic take on Wainui at Wakefield. How many will finish the game this weekend?
Permalink Permalink
over 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Olympic may struggle without the two players sent off last week (not that I saw who this alleged second person was). Would put Nui in the box seat for a playoff game.

I hear BNU fielded an unrego'd person v IB, so they will prob lose the points

10 goal thriller (kind of)  at Wakefield.

Island Bay 5 - 5 Mirimar.

Mirimar out to 3 nil lead after 20, IB fight back well to get ahead 5-4, and concede a penalty for it to finish 5-5. Crazy stuff on the mud pool that is Wakefield 3.

Chokers!

The mud was typically a leveller, but yeah big time choke. Petone equalised via an own goal in the last few minutes apparently. I didn't see what happened, was half way to hospital at that stage.

Maybe a 1-1 draw is domination for the guy? After all, we were all happy to beat Paraguay 0-0. Italy 1-1 and Slovakia 1-1

That cant be right, there wasnt anyone playing in this game who hasnt played previously. May just be a nervous IBU scraping the bottom of the barrel in an effort to avoid the wooden spoon.
