But if you can't score, don't expect to win.  Might as well have been 50 shots to 5.

Very quiet in here.

Miramar Rangers       1    Island Bay United     3
Waterside Karori      1    Wellington United     0

Lower Hutt             5 2 0 3   9 10   6
Brooklyn Northern      5 2 0 3   6 10   6
Kapiti Coast Utd       5 1 2 2   7 10   5
Wellington United      5 1 1 3   5   7   4
Naenae                 5 1 1 3   6 12   4
Miramar Rangers        5 1 1 3   6 15   4

A couple of big results.
North Wellington taking first points off Petone.
Naenae first win after bad start.
And Miramar continue slide after solid last season.

Petone understrength last week? Or North Welly quite impressive?

This weekend:
Wellington United __ Petone __ Newtown 1 (12.30);
Kapiti Coast Utd __ Waterside Karori __ Weka 1 (2.30);
Brooklyn Northern __ Miramar Rangers __ Miramar 1 (2.30);
North Wellington __ Island Bay United __ Alex Moore 1 (2.30);

Sunday
Lower Hutt __ Naenae __ Fraser 2 (2pm)

Welly Utd to hopefully tip up Petone and condense table even more.
Karori up at the coast.
Brooklyn at 'home' over Miramar.
IBU to carry on over Nth Welly.
And Lower Hutt on Sunday against Naenae.

Perhaps you could get the game transfered to the changing rooms. The team will be right at home then.

Is it true that they are putting in an artificial surface at Karori with a large wind blower at the end so that it can be used for surfing during the summer?

Karori park #1 was actually in decent shape last weekend. First time I've played at KP in four years of football in the capital - every other time it was either called off or I was away.

Fuck this stupid game

In saying that, can't believe they haven't rebuilt the clubrooms yet - there were plans back when I was a junior at Raumati Hearts!

Unlucky to have seen both teams play this season - crap attitudes from the top down - woeful for this level! This is probably why they are in Cap 1!in between2011-05-07 22:11:27

Maybe if they had some discipline or direction they would not have to blame the ref

Ok Chatham Cup - but why cancel a grade that is mostly reserve teams?
Permalink Permalink

Just checked and only two 1st teams from that grade are involved in the Chatham Cup in their own right, N. Wellington and KCU.

Obviously didn't defend very well, it was one of those games where every bounce fell their way and we just got nothing, in terms of chances we probably had more or equal to them - if their keeper didn't have a blinder they could have easily shipped in 6 goals themselves. Couple of their goals were ridiculous luck. Oh well, getting ready to be murdered at training tomorrow.

Good question. Seems a bit silly when you know there are going to be cancellations further down the track.

Grades looking tight, Petone obvious leaders but interesting to see whether
that keeps or not depending on their first teams needs.

Much better display for us today, a few cracking goals and a stupid
halfway giveaway let them ruin our clean sheet, but we bossed the game.

Have lost count of the times we've conceded in the last few minutes to throw away the points this season.

WU 3 - 3 MR

Big upset with Brooklyn beating Petone 1 nil.
IBU come from behind AGAIN to beat Lower Hutt 2-1

Tightens up the table even more. Massive game Monday between IBU and Petone at Te Whaea. Petone won't be happy about losing and will want to protect/extend their lead.

Today was a bit different, keeper got passed the ball from the center half and went to clear it, hit it strait into the strikers back and it went in. Other times we've let teams come at us in the last 15 but today we went ok, built up throughout the game and had a stronger second half. Still no good though.
