Rumour has it ( not the forum user ) - that Island Bay are paying for Jamie Mason to fly down from Auckland to Wellington each week to play for them.

Surely a first @ Capital 1 level??

Won't he just be coming down to see family and has a spare 3 hours to play football. (Island Bay owe him a few years of favours)

Don't know if they are paying him but he is certainly playing for them in Cap 1. Scored five goals for them against Stop Out last weekend

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
