Where does Stop Out getting promoted come into it?

There might be scope to question your last sentence. You could say nui get relegated first, WU status quo in Prem, then Seatoun take the vacant SO spot (just bantering here really)

Well they would be replaced by United first team. So shouldn't affect it.

Althought if PNM go up, and United come down, then that creates an extra team. So I THINK United 2nds and Wainui would go down, and Seatoun would play off against the 3rd last.

Yeah I know they do - its just you didn't include it in your step by step. Why shouldn't wainuis relo come before uniteds?

Hmm I guess I'm just going on the possibly incorrect assumption that a playoff is against the second bottom team if required and the last prem team will still get the axe. It doesn't actually state what exactly the 'playoff' is though does it? (I'm confusing myself even more here)

Because United have to come down regardless of whether they are in a relegation spot or not. If they came 2nd, they'd still get relegated.

If Marist goes down from  W/Central League their W/Prem team goes as well effecting promotion relegation there. Oh what fun.

They may turn it down again - doubt it though.

13.2 At the end of each season, promotions are always completed first then relegations are made as required.

13.4 Capital Premier

13.4.a After two rounds: ...

·  the necessary number of relegations (if any) will take place.

13.5.c If the second placed team is ineligible for promotion:

·  the team finishing first will be automatically promoted if eligible

·  the team finishing third will enter a playoff if eligible.

So dealing with promotion first as the regs say.  As it stands LHC will auto go up. Karori can’t, therefore according to 13.5.c Seatoun will enter a playoff.

Thus we have 1 auto promotion and one playoff.

Now dealing with relegation, Wellington United are relegated automatically (cancelling out LHC auto promotion). Leaving only Wainui as the other relegation threatened team. Therefore they enter the playoff.

And its also dependent on a Cap Prem team gaining promotion to Central League.

Seriously Horsehead you are in danger a little bit of becoming a horses arse. :)

Don't let this bitterness and hatred eat you up inside man, relax let it go, free your mind, you'll feel so much better. Less focus on what has gone before and more on the future.

I tell you what, if it will make you feel better  I'll let you come over to our bench next Saturday and tell us we are all naughty boys for being such big poopy meany pants to you. If you're really good and play nicely with the big boys I'll even buy you  a lemon squash and a lollipop after the game...

Hard fought game Tawa v wharf. Tawa showed enthusiasm as they are obviously keen to avoid the drop - but they barely saw the ball in the second half. Only goal was wharf fullback peewee Mckeown with a wonder strike from outside the box.

5th thank you very much (at this stage anyway).  Oh and how do you know I'm a man :)

As I have said, for us, next season is really the one where we want to start to kick on. With only 3-4 first team players left over from last year (due to a number of more senior players walking out in a mass hissy fit) we have had to build from the ground up so I am going to be happy if we stay up this season and can build on things.

We as a club are shooting for some very ambitious targets over the next 5 or so years and want to be where a club our size should be (Central League). So staying up is the first step from where we can start to build some momentum.

Chin up big fella things could be worse and I mean it about the lemon squash and lollipop, introduce yourself after our game against Karori and I'll promise to buy them for you ( I might even stoop to buying Feverish a beer if he's a good boy) :)

Well 4 different people have told me the same thing. NW coach also complaining that an All White was playing for Mar. Someone should tell him Campbell Banks played for the AWs about decade ago.

Not sure sorry (and that's the truth).

To be honest I didn't even recognise which one Campbell Banks was .  Is he not playing in their first team?

I know they had some 2nd team players playing (how many I'm not sure), as long as there were no more than 3 + 1 Central player then no probs as far as I can see.

Think he has played more games for the thirds than the seconds.
Pretty sure there were only 2 down from the second. One of who was on his second week of regrading.

Speaking with several Mar players, there were definitely photos being taken yesterday.

Regardless of your "rebuilding phase" Teza, you are clearly not satisfied with mid-table mediocrity (which your teams lack of quality suggests you are). Has there been a single game this year where you haven't done an extensive background check on your opposition? You've quickly alienated yourselves as the most disliked team in the grade.

Horses head although your points are made bluntly, some I have to agree with. Would love to be at the Wharf-NW game when they play next.

Seatoun going up??

Permalink Permalink

This division continues the madness. Now 5 points from 4th to last. Seatoun looking good for a promotion playoff, which I've got to say is surprising based on what I saw of them. But if I ranked teams on what I I've seen (how they played against IBU) it would look a little bit different. Something like L Hutt, Karori, Kapiti, Uni, Brooklyn, Seatoun, Miramar, North Welly, Tawa.

Big game today.  Hutt to secure top and IBU to escape relegation spot. Stoked it's on the turf.

Good chance Seatoun will go up. They will need some signings to Stay up however. But they play a decent brand of football, quite easily the third best side in the league.

Stop talking rubbish, I think you will find that we have good relationships with the majority of the teams and players in the league and they have no problems with us.

To be frank your judgement of our quality is neither here nor there (and way off base), I don't think the boys will be loosing any sleep over your pronouncements.

I have no doubt that the movements will match the rules.

In regards to the photos, the ones that I have seen from yesterdays game appear to be general photos of the game that were taken by a supporter, as opposed to some GCSB like plot (in fact if you look on the NW Facebook page you will see photos of other games).

To be frank that table is incorrect. Add 3 points to Wharfies and Vic Uni, put NW down to 15 points where they belong.

You sound like an Arsenal fan who still thinks their side is a Premier League contender. But that's another matter.
