How can a team default at that level. Must be a pretty mickey mouse club if they cant get players from the lower teams to come up!

I think they did eventually end up putting a team out....although CF has the score at 2-0 (for the default), but there's a 5-1 scoreline posted here, so I guess the game must have been played.

Shouldnt be allowed in such a high grade if they cant field a team each week.

and this is our only default this season when the season should already be over so i find this call a bit tough

Seaon always runs till the last week of August. I guess suggesting that it may rain during winter is a little over the head of most university students.

only ever played under 19s this late in the season so disagree with this statement. 4 games cancelled means four extra weeks by my reckoning. but what would i know im only a student.

Will Uni be in the playoffs, since their team team won Capital 3, are they allowed to have a team promoted and relegated into Capital 2?

Yes you are only a student so I guess it is to much to expect you would know. Without going back to far, 2006, you will find we played till the last week in August and many grades still were'nt completed.

Once a play-off team is  known, they can not have any players regraded to that team, so Miramar is in the sh*t if they want to regraded.

I had thought they were allowed to regrade up a grade (as both Olympic and the Mar have been doing at the end of the season)

Yeah...I guess it all depends on how they use regrade....

What I meant was that I thought players could be brought in from lower teams to play in the play-off, but the couldnt be dropped from higher division teams. Obviously those players in "lower teams" may have come from somewhere else originally.

From what 2ndbest said players can't be regraded, but do they count players being promoted as being "regraded" (regrade up as i put it)?

Looks like some one at Capital Football is pissed off sending them all the way up there,
might be trying to promote Football in the smaller areas of the federation, I reckon they should have made a day of it like they are doing with the juniors, could of had IB v Uni at 11.00, followed by Mir v Oly, then Wairarapa v Maycendale.would have made for a good days viewing.

Island Bay United-2 University-0. Island Bay United to play in Capital 1 next year.

from the bubbles website

This season in Capital One Olympic proved that they are too strong for this particular league and defiantly have the potential to play week in week out in the Champs Premier League.

wtf? they got smoked by the team that came second to last despite stacking their team and suddenly they are too good for Cap 1. Ya havin a laff!
