I know there was a thread for the 2009 season but I couldn't find it.

Anyway there has to be a few formumites out there who play in div 10......lets hear about the games and who's great and who's not. Mid season Promo/relegation this season should make it very interesting.

Hopefully Cap 9 at the end of the season. Not 100 percent on this new relegation system but apparently we can end up there if we do well. We just want to play the tonners again.

I have joined the Petone For Sure this season. Looking forward to it. Will be interesting to see what the standard is like having played in Cap 14 for the past few seasons.

Everyone visiting Naenae this year.  See we have Matty and the Tonners in this week.  Will have to rush back from the Nighthawks game at Fraser to hurl abuse.

How's my driving? - Whine here

agreed, best start to a season the Rovers have had in a long time - despite losing....1 - 0 was a respectable score given we had no subs.

turning point for our season this weekend, we out played BNU, but were unlucky in front of goal, their goal was as their capt stated at half time "LUCKY"! well be off the bottom in no time.

Cheers boys, its been good - we'll see one of you in Div 9 next year!

Hard News - dunno who the Naenae no. 3 (centre back) was today, but he was the MOTM today in a losing effort. Top game by that fella.

that'd be lindsay, he was training with our first team but don't think he enjoyed how hard it was and decided to go back to capital 10. pity really because hes only a young fella and he's got a lot of promise.

they are a super strong team with some seriously talented players.

Fair enough - I know a few guys who have dropped down due to the demands of higher teams. He's def a class above though!

Thank god for these forums.

It seems pretty concrete that Friday is off. The games could still be scheduled for Saturday afternoon, as normal, or Saturday night.

Well we'd have the next weeks games on saturday afternoon wouldn't we, so it'd be saturday night? Double header...

Guessing someone more important is using the turf on friday night?

I thought that could be the case, but it seems our Saturday games had moved to Friday and now back to Saturday rather than fitting in an extra round as earlier in the season. This is as much info I could get from my manager. So I don't think we could be playing 2.30 and then again at 7.30

I think the normal saturaday arvo games were going to be played on friday...then cap footy realised that Rugby had Te Whaea that Friday night so moved us to saturday night.

We thought, we'd shake up the league a  bit.....

Nah, Brooklyn outplayed us on their home swamp ground for 70 mins to get a 3 goal lead, which we just couldn't claw back.

What swamp ground was it? We play Brooklyn at home this weekend and hope to overturn the result from earlier in the season played on a not so football friendly field.

We played them on the lower Happy Valley pitch - fine at first, but once we'd started charging around it cut up like anything.

They stuck their good midfielder up front (offside mostly) & pumped balls over the top to him.

What on earth is going on with this weeks games?

Karori Rovers & Brooklyn play on Thursday & Saturday, whilst 2 of the teams aren't down to play at all.....

No matter the games down to play Friday night being moved to Saturday night, then moved to Saturday afternoon. Bet they end up Saturday lunchtime and we all get it in the neck from our missus'.
