Stop Out               9  1  0  8  15  31   3

tawa played alright against a somewhat different opposition from game against stop out a couple of weeks back. stop out were reduced to 10 men with 25 minutes gone for some bizzare reson, referee must of still had his beer googles on from the night before. Tawa 1-0 up half time. 2nd half tawa absoulte dominate against the struggling stop out who look like they belong in cap 10.  bobboltontawa gets on for the last 10 minutes to show what hes worth, sets up 2 goals in the final 5 minutes to give tawa a 4-0 win.
good game. same can't be said for the opposition, our coach, the weather.

Yes, when Tawa played Stop Out in first round we handed Stop Out their first (and so far only) win.  Then we beat them 4-0 a few weeks later.  Is it a coincidence that when we lost to Stop Out their first team weren't playing that day?  They were awful on the weekend, even before they had a player sent off.

Actually I think Stop Out's 1st team were playing either Eastbourne or Taranaki on the Sunday . So no 1st team players were playing the day they bet you guys 3-1 .

You guys should really concentrate on your own football instead of sl*gging off other teams as I have seen you guys play and it wasn't great.

We didnt have any 1st team players and we still smacked you 3-1 and you had eleven players on the field.  Why dont you just accept that you were crap on that day like we were crap on the weekend, instead of continually having a dig at us five days down the track.  Havent you got better things to do like focusing on your game against Miramar

We had a few injuries plus three of our guys (including our keeper) couldnt play as they played for the 1st team in the Chatum Cup the week prior.  Dave has Glandular Fever and our keeper that day was from our masters team.  We still had a team which still should have been a lot more competitive than what we were though.  We have had a couple of games now where we just havent been switched on and played like we didnt even know each other.  I think this was one of those games and hopefully its the last.

Have to say that our (Marist's) win against Upper Hutt last Sat was about the luckiest result we've had since I've been in the team...seriously we scored 4 really dodgy goals with deflections playing a huge part. Hard luck to Upper Hutt, you deserved a lot better on the day.

Huge game for us tomorrow v Dreamers (again) Seatoun really did us a favour last week with that 3-3 draw...apparently Karori were 3-0 up at half time? Go Seatoun vs Island Bay! (Sorry IBU!)

Woohoo!

Anyone got a report from the Island Bay v Seatoun game today? That result sets up a massive match between Island Bay and Marist next weekend.

An Epic game was played out at Kilbirnie Park this afternoon, with Marist scoring in extra time to snatch a 2-1 victory vs the Dreamers. Was a good tough game and the Dreamers were  unlucky in hitting the woodwork 3 times in the first half, but the green and whites hung in there and played a lot better in the second. Div 2 is turning out to be a pretty tight league...

Island Bay United dominated the first half but kept panicking once getting near the goal. Many a chance but never really tested the keeper. Much the same starting the second half until Seatoun had space to take a shot from a fair way out and a monumental f**k up by yours truly let it sail over my head and into the goal via the underside of the crossbar. This seemed to finally kick IBU into gear but to no avail. Seatoun then started to dominate and got a throw in into the box to their striker whose shot was deflected over me and into the goal for their second. Had I not fluffed the first goal, it would have been a draw as I don't feel either team would have scored past that point. Few scuffles between players, referee and coaches. Another day at Seatoun Park haha. Well done to Seatoun on playing to their strengths and getting the points. Next week's game against Marist is massive. What a fantastic league this year.

Focus on your team not stop out... Your team played absolute crap against stop outs 2nds at hutt park i watched the game it wasnt pretty and from what i heared stop out played absolute crap against yous at kura st and they accept that... I wouldnt go as far as saying it was the worst performance in Capital 2 because your performance at hutt park was pretty rubbish...

It was a different team that played you last weekend but my understanding is stop outs 2nds put out a different team every saturday as they have a number of injuries and players moving around... Whats more embarassing for stop out is that when stop out slapped you 3-1 they had no first team players... when yous slapped them 4 nil they had two first team players.. Goes to show you how crap some of the players in stop outs first team are...
As for that David guy he has probally gone back to capital 7 where he belongs

What happened to sticking to your word Reefside and not posting on this thread anymore?

Stop Out didn't 'slap' us at Hutt Park.  We just didn't finish our chances and then they got 2 lucky goals.  One from a dodgy penalty and the other from our defensive mistake.  Neither goals were from Stop Outs good play.  Credit though, the 3rd goal was a cracker.  A fair result would have been a draw.

I notice that Stop Out got their 2nd win yesterday?  Did I also notice that the Central League side wasn't playing again?

I actually don't mind if 2nd teams use 1st team players if the 1sts aren't playing.  Its good for their fitness / confidence, etc.  For some reason I just don't like that Stop Out 2nd team.  When we played them they seemed to have no idea about the rules.  Fending people off then whinging to the ref for calling them up for what were blatat fouls.

Oh well.  We had a dissapointing draw with Miramar yesterday.  It was a good even game but we had a number of chances near the end that we should have taken.  A draw was probably a fair result on the balance of it though.  Good luck for the rest of the season Miramar.

Reefside . I wish you would get your facts right before sl*gging off  a player that in your own words is from your club. The only reason David Nicholls is not playing for the 2nd team at the moment is that he is suffering from glandular fever.

I watched the game against Upper Hutt on Saturday and the 1st half was pretty ordinary . Stop Out dominated the 2nd half with some stand out perfomances from some of the younger members of the 2nd team squad.

Pretzel what a laugh saying Stop Out were lucky to beat you 3-1 . You were lucky it wasn't more. They out played you from start to finish . Just accept that your were 2nd best on the day and move on.

I apologise Pass n move... A couple senior 2nd team players told me he was "back in capital 7 where he belongs"
I could understand why they said that  so i thought it was true... Sorry i will get my facts right next time

Pretzel honestly get over it. Personally from what i saw at hutt park Stop out were better and the penalty at the end in the 89th minute was the only goal you got. You did have other chances but then again so did stop out.The older guys in the team let you guys down at hutt park. I dont know if they start every week for you guys but  if you get rid of them and bring some youth or other not so old players in you would be right up the top of the table and punish teams like stop out... Good luck for the rest of the season

Its all getting a bit heated, Stop Out played well first game - Tawa played well in reverse leg - lets leave it at that.

As for Saturdays game v Miramar - both midfields just keeped giving the ball away. Defensivly both teams looked pretty  sound, not many clear cut chances given away but in the middle of the park the ball was getting turned over every 2nd pass. Tawa dominated the end of the first half and had it not been for the half time break were dominating - but to miramars credit they came back out in the 2nd and didn't give us much.
Stand in goalie for Miramar did well considering he looked like he got put in their 2 minutes from kick off and our striker had a few chances but meh on the day it didn't go in.

Good game - Good ref penalty was a handball i couldn't tell if it was out or in of the box but was clearly a handball - somtimes i wonder though why when theres no linesman refs give 50/50 offsides the way of the defending side everytime but hey good game.

Wgtn Marist 2 v 1 Karori

Forget Euro 2008, Kilbirnie Park witnessed a titanic encounter in this top of the table thriller!

During a torrid first half, Marist defended as if their lives depended on it as the visitors rattled the woodwork on three occasions. On a rare foray up field, the assassin pounced to give Marist a precious strike grotesquely against the run of play.

There is no doubt that Karori have quality throughout their side, but you could sense their frustration as the chances started to dry up. Just when it looked as if Marist had done enough to secure a backs to the wall victory, the heroic Hubminator was finally beaten on the ninetieth minute.

However, there was one more twist to this intriguing tussle as super sub Nev fired home a last gasp rocket, from all of 25 yards, into the top left hand corner with a finish that Ronaldo would be proud of!

Island Bay v Wgtn Marist, Wakefield Park, Sat 21 June promises to be a cracker!

Some of the players getting dropped are only going back into the team where they should of been playing from the start. I wouldnt get tooworried its not like there stand out/star players or anything... They will defently improve the teams results though if they regulary play for the team.. I heared rumours Tawa 1sts is after a 2nd team player from stop out.. Also have heared rumours Jason Coombes has made a comeback against the odds and is nearly putting goals away from the CB position.. Go Jason

Yeah we played IBU Saturday and the game was crap considering top 2 teams.
Marist up 1 after 5 minutes,IBU equalised just before Half time.
2nd half Marist up 2-1 ,then a defensive blunder gave them IBU another, and to really F%$& everyone off with 5minutes to go one of our defenders gave away a penalty.
1minute to go Marist missed a 1 on 1 header with the keeper.(although IBU's goalkeeper is probably the best keeper in Dv 1 and 2,well done)
Honest opinion the game deserved a draw at best, hope Dreamers can get some points off them.
