Probably harder for a team like Wainui to stay motivated when they've been struggling all year. Shouldn't be so much of a problem for Seatoun. It's alot easy to keep going when you're winning.
Thats a pretty dumb comment to make Top Left.
Fuck this stupid game

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
From what I have seen Wainui are a team doomed for the lower grades. Both 1st and 2nd team finished last. Hardly any decent U19 players at the club, The Local high school struggles for a team and barely input from the club. It is not a big Soccer suburb, a great nursery for League and Rugby!! All the good youngsters go to Lower Hutt, Petone or Stop Out because they have good structures and volunteers!!This year some of the best players and coaches left (approx 7-8 from last years squad), the two ex petone players (brothers) injured all year, top keeper to stop out, defender to lower hutt, others not interested in playing for current coach who was 2nd team coach last year and probably why some players are lacking motivation and he has no idea really!!Most of the current crop are pretty much cap 4 players from last year and many of them have never been coached and enjoy their grog too much and don't want to learn!Be best if they dropped to Cap 1 anyway!!The club do not spend $$$ to improve player depth either, so hard to attract new players. Sad to say really, cannot see things improving anytime soon!!
Sad commentary on the state of Football in Wainui at the moment. A club that once in the late 70's and eighties had in excess of 50 Junior teams and at times has had some success in various levels of Central League (in particular in the early nineties) and have made the quarterfinals of the Chatham cup on at least one ocassion again in the early nineties. A number of players who have achieved national honours have also represented the Club (At Junior levels). The club celebrated 50 years in 2009. Hopefully they can claw their way out of the present position they find themselves in.

I remember now. Played against one of their sides. Must have been a few players (and volunteers) about to support the two clubs. Time and society changes.

Correct from memory had a couple of Senior teams playing in the lower levels of Wellington Football and a few Junior Sides. Was talks of Mergers over the years but not sure if that ever happened or if they just dwindled away

What happens to the funds once they are struck off?

Struck off on 25 August 2005.
John Harris seems to have been the last president. They had about $4k in the bank as of end of their 2000 financial year.
Shame - 2 of their youngs players could have gone to a World Cup
All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight
If it goes to a Wainui v Seatoun playoff I would say Wainui are doomed. But I don't think promotion for Seatoun would be a good idea either. I think they'd really struggle in Cap Premier from what I've seen.

also a few Olympic, Miramar and Island bay ... a few signings wouldnt go a miss, if promotion does happen.
The biggest hurdle Seatoun would face Capital Premier would be the lack of a reserve side playing in a competitive league. At present their "2nd Team" is playing in Capital 8.

Got a full squad DF? Although one player suspended from the red card vs Wharf?
Yep, as far as I know that is the case.
PNM 3 Stop out 2.
Don't ask me.... didn't go. My laptop died but it's backed up.... backup failed. Instead of football watching it was redoing (trying to) a week's worth of assignment writing.... stressed. Thank to Del for tweeting the match.
So I popped up the coast to watch.
Pretty fair result to be honest. PNM went 2-0 up after 10 minutes. First goal was a absolute ripper. Probably 35 yards out on the angle. It is straight and true. Top corner. SO pulled on back soon after to make it 2-1. PNM had much of the first half. Were tight and compact in defence and limited SO chances pretty well. SO we far to loose in midfield, let PNM play with ease through it without any pressure. PNM scored right on half time as Khair Jones intercepted a SO throw in, beat a couple of players and scored in off the near post.
Second half, SO started the stronger. Pulled it back to 3-2 a few minutes after half time. SO probably had the better of the second half, but it was mostly through territory rather than clear chances. Game tended to peter out with not much action. Perhaps they were both scared to concede another goal.
PNM in the box seat, but 2 away goals mean SO in with a decent chance.
Cliche time.
Set up nicely for the second leg.
Prediction time..... The two away goals will prove vital and will see SO go through to the Central League
"Although his side was beaten, the two goals they scored on the road, which count double in the event of a Stop Out win in the second game, could prove pivotal."
Argh!!!!

It's so bloody annoying and factual incorrect. It doesn't take many more words to explain it properly.

Both teams look to have more than enough quality to go up. The team with the most quality will get what they deserve.
Marist have too much quality not to go up
Brave call. Stop Out have a good record at home (quoting someone from Stop Out here).
Only time will tell.....I think marist attack is better than stop defence though.
SO's midfield is hot and cold too. Should get up for the big game but you never know (esp Gulley).
Fuck this stupid game
