I disagree, and without laying out a bunch of ifs buts and maybes it could've been very different had the second match up between Stop Out and IBU not been during the biggest storm in 50 years. But you're entitled to your opinion based on what you've seen. Including today's out of character IBU match.
See that's the thing - IBU lost hard to Miramar when it mattered. Stop Out lost early to Wainui, but then kicked on to just roll over everyone else in the league. IBU choked in that game against Karori.

Interesting convo this... Based on your explanation above though, you would also believe Karori were pretty close to SO as well, now that they are back ahead of Island Bay? Goal difference does paint a good picture of where teams have got it right and where they have got it wrong though. Stats don't tell the whole story but they certainly don't lie.

Yep fair enough that goal difference is an indicator without anything else, but I'd be surprised if many people who saw all three teams throughout the season thought Stop Out were 'easily' the best side. It was another tight league at the top with not many points dropped.

Stop Out would probably be my pick to Win the League this year. The New English Lad up front looks to be a very good pick up for Stop Out and I would be surprised if he does not go close to Golden Boot this year.
