Stop Out 0 Island Bay 2....
IBU looked a bit slick at times.
We looked a bit the opposite at times.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Rate the Keepers.

Here's your chance to rate the leagues keepers. What are your thoughts about each of them. Oh.... and if you are one of them try not to blow your trumpet too much

WU 1 - 1 Karori

We led with no time left on the clock, Karori equalised a minute into injury time. Gutted but not all bad for us looking ahead.

Went and watched Upper Hutt v Petone @ Harcourt.

UH had a few young guys in there today.

No Mays, LePru, Garnett, Henderson [presume suspended] or Campbell [keeper]

Pretty mudly game thou, good opener from Petone.

No 15 for UH at left back had good game, UH keeper bit uncertain gave Petone 2nd goal should have really held on to it not that hard a shot. Still young guy, quite tall, will obviously learn from today, good distance both from static and from hand.

The South American duo very quick and good skills, Grindley up front [2 goals] and Rooker in the middle very steady.

I read on this thread earlier some suggestion this team were all oldies, going by today they all weren't so old and held a

Petone side, who may be bottom of the table, but were always in the game.

Garcias said during the week in the local rag this might not be an easy game, possibly game could have gone either way.

Watch out for the tall karori forward. Dives alot, even before being tackled sometimes.

At least 4 players in that Upper Hutt squad are still at High School, and several others just out of!

Stop Out 2 Petone Reserves 1.

Will the Stop Out coach Steven Gulley be having a word with his players Steven Gulley and Damon about what they got up to today? Both should have had red cards.

Is the Petone player Jonny Coulter (right name?) OK?

Big Weekend for 1st placed Upper Hutt playing 2nd place Island Bay at Harcourt on Saturday and Chatham Cup against PNth Marist on Monday again at Harcourt. Potential to open up 8 point gap on rest of league with a win, depending on How Warfies v Miramar (3v4) goes.

Upper Hutt will win that out there. The return leg could be interesting though.

Huge result for us, valuable points. Stop out aren't going to well but they are still a team full of good footballers, they made us work hard for it. Fair to say we scrapped them out of the game.

 Just back from Harcourt.

Upper Hutt  1  [Le Prou]  Wharfies  1

Not a good game so much niggle both sides argueing every tackle whether fair or foul, not helped by I'm sorry to say some very very poor refereeing.

Probably 7 or 8 yellows and 1 straight red [Le Prou]

Should have been a good game.

Garcias had chance to snatch it for UH, last kick of game, open goal, in 6 yard box and put it over the bar.

Not a game both teams could be proud of but I suppose Wharfies will be happy with draw, UH will have to pick it back up a bit, very poor game, passing just wasnt happening, things just seemed to be all at sea today, need to pick it up next week or all the good works to date might just start to fall apart.

Wharfies played good footy and pressured UH all day - not letting them play. Far from happy with the draw as Wharf had most of the play for sure - all first half and final quarter. UH should be very happy with draw
