Only if someone laid an actual complaint... or the card had the names on it and it's picked up by CF.

This is what I'm worried about - surely LH wouldn't have been silly enough to use the actual players name who was suspended on the team card? We all know it's not hard to play an ineligible player under someone else's name and hope/assume no one will bother checking it out.
Is it up to Tawa to lay a complaint?

We'll be praying for a draw or Wairarapa win in their game with LH.

When will a call be made on the the Tawa v Lower Hutt game be made?

Surely the game will have to be replayed as it has massive implications to both the top and bottom of the league.

Agreed on the implications, for both top and bottom of the league. However, surely LH, by fielding an ineligible player, should have to forfeit? It seems there is enough evidence (although I do take the point that the majority of statements in this thread are heresay) to warrant an investigation at least.
Are any of the Tawa boys able to shed some light on any action their club might be taking? Can other clubs make a complaint if they weren't directly involved?

stupid of lower hutt really.. the lower hutt 2nd team played on the same pitch after our game against kapiti, some of the boys stayed to watch, hence saw Patterson get sent off... Then the next week when we play lower hutt 3rds, Patterson was playing despite his suspension.

Yeah I'm from tawa and im 99% sure a complaint has been laid.

No, I cant Feverish, not even able to say if he took the field or not.

As someone who has been sent off regularly maybe you can clarify something for me.

If there was an appeal about the sending off,
1: with the current state of CF in not acting on appeals in a timely manner, would a player be able to play in the meantime?
2: Does CF have to advise the club how many games the player misses before the ban takes affect?

Thanks

how many weeks would a player face on the sidelines if there was sufficient evidence that a player headbutted an opposing player??

Thanks for the offer Greenie but we've got this far on our own merits (not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing) so not sure Dan would want to have ring ins.

Easty, do you have anything to say about playing a suspended player?

Plus photographic evidence that shows the player in question and the number he's wearing. Our coach knows Andrew and NeilWgtn appears to have grown up with him. I don't see any Lower Hutt players here denying it.

tbh its only ever tawa'ites and nightz on here anyway.
i presume tawa has already laid a compliant so lets just move on, capital football will deal with it how they seem fit.

+ no place in football for headbutts - that should be dealt with on a side issue - guess it dosn't help ref didnt see it but yea dont condone that sh*t at all - heard the player concerned even admitted he did he - he should retire - disgracefull.

if your player hadnt of headbutted and you won would you still be on here crying?

presume not.....

tawas got as much to be ashamed about as lower hutt in my view.

I don't think theyll just be taking anyones word on it.
Especially because at the game the so called team who's word they'd be taking, Lied about a head butt that clearly happened and pleeded innocence to anything to do with the scuffle, when it clearly escelated because of the muppet who ran in and booted a guy on the ground then proceeded to stand over him as if he was ten foot tall and bullet proof, but then again that never happened either.

All in all tho I think if a match is abandoned then everything is void really, its as if the game never happened.

Naa, their stomachs would get in the way.

But what about this to throw a spanner into the works. What say Lower Hutt didn't receive the paper work from CF in time therefore making Patterson eligible to play. It's happened before.

I agree with you Pilonidal Sinus,  We had this last year with a player being booked the week before. And if my memory is good enough that player was allowed to play as CF hadnt sent paperwork to club. He was stood down the week after.
A club doesnt have to stand a player down without being notified by CF.

Can anyone confirm this, at the moment alot of people on here unsure of the rules.

On receipt of a protest, if any team is found guilty of playing a player who is

not listed on the teamcard, or plays a player under an assumed or false name,

the following sanctions will apply:

a) the offending Club shall forfeit any points gained - the opposing Club is to

be credited with a 2 - 0 winning result

b) a fine of $100.00 per offending player will be imposed on the offending

Club if a Champs Premier League team is involved, $50.00 fine for any

other League

c) if both Clubs are found to be in breach, the match result shall be cancelled.

Fines as above shall be imposed.

A player dismissed from a game shall be automa tically suspended for one (1)

playing day. Any further disciplinary action shall be decided by the Manager

in accordance with NZ Football Regulation 7.

It was the same down in the MPL - as soon as you have been shown a red, you are automatically suspended for one playing day. CF don't need to confirm that in writing before your next match.

Yea I thaught that was the case, good work.
What we still dont really know is how this affects a game that was abonded.
Is it like everything else in that game e.g goals, cards etc... and means nothing?

hhhmm im not sure on the actual rules... but personally I don't think that the match being abandoned should affect the default 2-0 win to tawa... Since the illegal player was on the field when the game started, the game's result was 2 nil tawa as soon as the ref blew the whistle to start the game, the fact that the game was abandoned after that doesn't affect anything.

CF regs for abandoned matches are:

Any match abandoned for any reason shall be reported immediately to the

Manager. This responsibility lies with the Referee, if present, or the Home

team. After considering the facts, the Manager may decide that

a) the score at the time of the abandonment shall stand, or

b) the match will be re-scheduled to another date.

I think the same as you Swandry, in that the game was started before it was abandoned, and then the regs for an ineligible player would take precedence over the regs for an abandoned match.

I think the only equitable solution is for the Cougars to be awarded the three points, Lower Hutt to get fined $3,000 , Easty to get a life ban, and Patterson forced to play a game against the Kittenz so he gets beaten up and taught a lesson. Just my thoughts.
