who really gives a sh*t about paying players?  If i could earn money from playing a sport I love to play then I would.  Shame your clubs can't afford to pay the players as much as we do.  But never mind.  Everyone has a right to their opinion.  That is mine.

A lot of people give a sh*t about paying players - hence it has been an issue over the last number of years.  Clubs go through cycles where players are payed/ not payed.  I would doubt any team in the central league has not payed players at some point in their history (I know for a fact that not all central league teams currently pay players), however the argument is whether the money being spent on semi talented players in a local/regional league could be better spent in other areas to develop football.

The  problem with the referees is the assessers, who are ruining the game, the refs are more interested in getting good marks than allowing a good game to develop.

Referees also get marked by the coaches of the teams, so at least there are two viewpoints in the marking.

But you have to remember if you mark them poorley it could come back and bite you when it comes to the 50/50 calls.
 
Waste of time if you ask me - most of the referees you can't even speak too without the fear of repercussions.

i give a sh*t about paying players and then complianing asbout things like the pitch. the person you are talking about, the one paying the bills wants to help the football comunity over the hill, then great, i love that about phil.paying people to come in weekly is not helping the area, look at what gisborne did. why not get a full sized artificial pitch or hire in an expert coach or build somthing like dave wilson's(ole) then players will have something to go there for other than just the money, and in the future they will keep players without spending so much on paying players.

Good turn out. Interesting to see so many Olympic "fans" I had never seen before. Where do these people hide themselves?
 
Good match. Suburbs were quite professional I thought. Olympic started to get a bit fraught and that hampered their football.
 
Interesting that so many players even at this level can only use one foot.
 
Overall? Worth going!

I thought i had shut you up last week. you are entitled to your opinion but we as a club dont see 2nd place and unbeaten as crashing down. as you will understand if you had bothered to be 1 of the 600ish people who were there, enjoying the gameinstead of sitting on your comp and talking smack) you would have seen how deverstated we were as a club. but i wouldnt say crashing!
now we have a one of game off game to enjoy.

haha, just after the last 2 weeks seeing so many non greek people/manurewa/wests people there supporting football and then to hear mister negitivity here.

funny you say that considering that I actually came and watched last weeks game against Manurewa and throught that you deserved to be in the final as you were the better team.  Best of luck with that one and sure I want the cup back in wellington, and it would of been a spectacle if Mar could of pulled off the other semi, but it wasnt to be. At least you guys are the only Wellington team in the final and full support will come from all areas of wellington including the Wairarapa!

I think if you check with the refs you'll find it scores towards their popularity award rather than an indication of their quality.
