Was Wharfies stand out player last season in Capital Premier. Another good signing for Wairapa United.
Backing him to make the step up and make an impact on Central League.
Rapa must have some more community donations in.

A lucky club is going to acquire a very talented scouse - watch this space, wherever he ends up he will do extremely well.

I hear Petone are front runners but a couple of other clubs in the hunt!

Top 3 in this list will most likely go down to last few games of season.

Top 3 will be a tough one, but Maycenvale have gone bought in a lot of players and if Raf is even half fit he will be the difference for them. Still best player at this level.

I still think Vale will struggle. The closest they'll get to the top half of the table will be if like last season a whole heap of the bottom teams finish within 2 points of each other.

Il think there will be plenty more player movement before the season starts. Wests and Miramar yet to make big moves but surely must have some cash floating around

At last someone with the sense to put Petone above Lower Hutt

I genuinely believe Lower Hutt will struggle this year - no doubt they have the young talent to compete, but at some point experience and mental attitude always comes in and they will not be able to sustain consistent performances across the season.

I am predicting that Wharfies will have the Premier Division wrapped up by a third of the way through the season, so will be promoted early.  They will then win the Central League, gaining enough points in the last 2/3's of the season.

Looks like Petone have picked up scouser Paul Ryder also - watch out for this lad he is absolute dynamite. I'm going to go out on a limb and pick him up near the top for golden boot.

Question is can Petone supply him with the ammo to finish up near the top of the Goal Scoring charts. No use having a hired gun if you can't supply him any bullets.
Still if both Alerdice  and Ryder sign it may just be enough for Petone to finish above Lower Hutt in the League.

Reports are I am planning to present a season preview for each team in the Central League.

Can someone in the know from each club post the transfers in and transfers out or PM me the details?

Thanks

Ryder wouldnt want to come here. Look at what happened to the other Ryder that played some sort of sport here (hint: it involves a cricket bat and a cricket ball)

How encouraging it must be for all the coaches of kids teams and the administrators in the football  clubs in the Wairarapa, to see the results of their many hours of voluntary commitment developing the sports future, out there on the golf courses every weekend.
Phil is doing a wonderful thing for the local community. Rather than these prodigies spending two nights out training every week, they are at home doing their studies for school and achieving higher levels of education to become the future business leaders of the region.

Such foresight, Phil.
Phil for Mayor I say.    Nightmayor!

Good to see a local business supporting football. Its got to be better for the sport than a pokies trust.

There is a huge diffrence between supporting the game and taking the piss out of it. Around 100k in one year on player payments is surely too far.

Come on, players are'nt paid for playing in an amatuer league are they.
