Just out of interest, when do players sign if they decide to move? Obviously after christmas but just before season starts or are they done earlier?

United lose cup final hero Robson to Melbourne club

Gary Caffell gary.caffell@age.co.nz | Tuesday, December 20, 2011 9:51

Any hopes Wairarapa United had of luring ace defender Scott Robson back for next season's central league and Chatham Cup football campaigns seem to have been dashed.

Robson has just signed a deal with the Melbourne-based Green Gully club and will be playing for them in the Victorian state league, which gets underway in February. Green Gully won the state league last year.

That deal comes after Robson trialled unsuccessfully for A-League side, the Melbourne Heart, although they did include him in one of their feeder clubs, meaning he could have the chance to trial again for them next year.

Robson went to Australia after starring for Wairarapa United in their memorable 2-1 win over Napier City Rovers in the grand final of the 2011 Chatham Cup.

In fact, so impressive was his defensive efforts in that game he was awarded the trophy for player of the match.

With Robson at Green Gully will be his former YoungHeart Manawatu national league teammate Jason Hayne.

There are two other Kiwis in their line-up.

I have heard exactly the same - I understand it is a fully funded Trip by Water Safety - Supposable meant to be for coaching education! How do they do it?

Article says "James Prosser, also from Ole, will take the reins of IBU's second team."

As far as i'm aware isn't James Prosser the 1st team coach, with Kyle Segebart taking the seconds?  Nate Winkel will be Technical Director
