Arnon Tapp. Nearly scored the winner too. That's brilliant proof reading.

Didn't have a malicious bone in his body when he played for us

Thats just a normal game of football for them.....nothing different

Well... "Fullitime" you must be the latest arrival from the planet " Ignoramus" . Welcome to the real world. I agree with some of the comments from AJ 13 and yes it wasn't the best of the games for the boys in blue....in saying that its not over till the "plum" ( need to be PC here) lady sings....Yia they (MAR) may have the best oppurtunity to win the league but ah I have been around for while to know that nothing is certain until the whistle is blown....

Our boys have been under pressure to deliver and by all accounts they are doing a great job...sometimes things don't go their way....they are still with a shot at the league title as well as a place in the Cup final....

No excuses ..and the boys know that ...and I am sure that they will give their best in the remaining games...due credit to Wests for taking the game to Olympic...they took their chances well and won the game...as for Mar I think that they are 16 games with no loss....            ITS a long way back from what Olympic achieved back in 2009-2010 29 GAMES UNBEATEN...

One thing is certain. and that is "nothing is certain" in this league.....and as for you fulltime let me know next time you are around and will explain to you what a "normal game of football for Olympic is....." and yia I am an "one eyed" Olympic supporter...

Olympic will have a catch up game after they play Miramar on 17/8/13 at David Farrington Park. So as DA BOSS put it - wait for the final whistle.

I was referring to the swearing and talking shit. As I have stated in previous posts I think they have some great players and can play some great football it's the rest of the shit they should leave out and just concentrate on the football. You don't get the name as the dirtiest team in the league for nothing.

I knew exactly what you were referring to....and yes I would like to advise you that since we moved to our new clubrooms we have actually purchased two new washing machines so our "dirty image" will hopefully be no longer.....!!!!! Look I respect your right to express your opinion but until such time as you can produce facts and stats I suggest that you blow your whistle and call fulltime on this......

As a semi neutral, I do think Olympic winge and whine but it is probably what inspires them. Plus if they keep getting good results why stop? They do miss Jimmy H though, and I was surprised at how comfortable Wests looked. Maybe Olympic have already decided the Chatham Cup is where it's at?

Yes, we certainly miss JH as well as Andrew and Ryan , they are players that can turn a game on its head....I suppose every team has their own way of dealing with things ......however they are times that things don't quite work the way that you want them to......as far as I know the boys are still very very keen on both fronts so its going to be a few interesting weeks ahead....I just hope that there are no more injuries to the boys...

In brighter news I'd assume the bar takings are massively up at the Olympic club rooms with the Irishman in your side! Been awesome to hear and see him scoring goals actually, when Colm first arrived in NZ he played in a couple of lower grade games for us. His very first touch of the ball was to control a long ball on his knee and volley it direct in from 25yards. Pretty much knew from then he had a lot of quality.

All the teams in the league have their own personalities. That's part of the fun.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Are Olympic selling alcohol at the clubrooms?  I heard someone mention they weren't as they didn't have a licence.  I could be completely wrong here and may have overheard someone talking rubbish

Going to be a really good second half if Upper Hutt can pull a goal back. WU shocked with a couple of early goals, but Upper Hutt started to take more control as the half went on and were unlucky to hit the post toward the end of the half.

4-3 after being 3-0 down. Awesome game. A real shame for Wellington united. They'll be gutted.

Definitely relegated. 4 points behind Tawa who drew 1-1 with lower Hutt today, and only 1 round to go.

Na. Hasn't been like that for a few years. Auto drop.

I like it better this way too.

Could also potentially have:

Bottom automatically relegated. Playoff like we have now for who takes that spot. Loser of playoff plays against 9th position in central league.

Though I guess having the loser of a playoff then playing 9th in CL is a bit weird.

Probably with that is the 9th place team wouldn't have a game for 3 weeks before having to play a playoff game.

Ah forgot it a 2 leg playoff

Could make it a one off game, then it'd only be 2 weeks, and you can make the 2nd playoff between 9th CL and playoff loser be over 2 legs.

Sorry.  Yes Wellington Utd are the old Wellington Diamond United

What? Why would 9th have a playoff with loser of cap/central 2 leg playoff?

Why not?

It's not a bad idea, would be a good way to get more representation from outside of Wellington into the league
