Yeah truly uninspiring game considering united offered absolutely nothing going forward.... one chance in 90 minutes. End of the day will take another win and move forward. Probably should have been 5-6 nil to be honest, also 5-6 players of what calibre? another 3 goals to the good anyway, 23 goals in 5 games. hopefully the boys keep marching on.

3 Ole kids (away), one american import, new lad from Auckland (both injured), two away with nz secondary schools tour. Not an excuse but would like to think the squad might improve with better competition for places. Time will tell.

He has gone back due to not being able to commit to trainings and games now. We were told he is going back to Tawa but not playing in the first team, whether that is true or not will remain to be seen

Might head along and watch Upper Hutt v Tawa this weekend, since we're playing on Monday.

Should be interesting checking out the new ground and clubrooms

Bill Robertson was initially with Waitakare but wasn't playing so transferred back to rovers a couple of weeks ago, not sure who the other 2 would be.

I can confirm that this is true. Van is going to U20's, Jimmy overseas and Abba, quite sadly, needs surgery.

Miramar too strong (literally) for Wests. Ryan Thomas is very good though. Miramar are a good complete squad. Wests lost it in midfield today, although they'll be frustrated at a couple they conceded that they could easily have prevented.

Upper Hutt too strong for Tawa. Two nil up in the first fifteen minutes, Tawa never at the races. Phil Patterson running around like he's in his early 30s, and Chris Campbell made a very tidy penalty save. Tawa's captain with the most gracious, honest and thoughtful losing post-match speech I have ever heard in Central League.

And I hear Brendan McIntyre was sent from the technical area in Lower Hutt's game against Olympic. That's all I've got though, I wasn't there.

Only saw the first half, all goals were top shelf. Shame I didnt get to see the 2nd. I got the feeling that Miramar are just a far too experienced side compared to Wests.

Who scored Mar's 3rd? Shame re: the comments he yelled out after he scored.

Theres banter and then theres disrespectful. You can have a go at your opposition and their supporters without directing blatant foul language at them. Ive seen players sent off for that in the past.

From what I've heard it fired the opposition up and put his team under a fair bit of pressure for sometime.

As said result flattered one team

Would you instil this particular "genuine club passion" in your U17 players, in front of all those parents who turn out to watch every weekend? Surely not

So your issue is that he swore? Or that he doesn't like your club?

The first one I can see your point, although it's extremely puritanical. Players swear, both at U17 level and senior level.

The second one I don't see any issue with. He likes his club, and doesn't like yours. Happy days.

If you're upset by that, then good, it shows that you love your club and don't like him having a crack at it. That's a good thing. Football is a game of passion.

And that's my last on this, it's diverted too much chat already.

This weekend there are two brilliant clashes: Petone/Lower Hutt (3.30pm @ Petone Memorial) and Olympic/Miramar (5.45pm @ Wakefield). Can't wait.

Not my club. Purely a neutral spectator.

Its not that he swore, i swear too. Often. I just wouldnt turn out at another clubs ground, or any ground, and then swear on about how much i hate them in front of everyone.

That is all.

who would do such a thing?  Surely the player knows where he is registered and is a bloody fool for playing when he knows that he is still registered with another club.  Hanging is too good for this type.
