It might actually work out to benefit Petone if they tack the game on at the end of the season.

Miramar may have already won the league and with nothing on the game for them they could be ripe for the picking.

Unless of course they are also on a cup run and want to take that winning momentum into the latter stages of the knockout competition.

Time will tell.

If the league was one then I'm not sure why Petone would care either

Miramar usually have at least two games in hand by the end of most the other club's seasons, so probably more like something they are comfortable with. In fact I'm sure they would prefer it that way.

Fuck this stupid game

Reports are that they were carrying a few injuries and so took the opportunity to have the weekend off to give the injured players more time to recover.

Wests will be kicking themselves for throwing that game against Lower Hutt by fielding an ineligible player. They've looked good up until last week, and today's draw has them well down

Rapa 2-2 Upper Hutt. Good point for the bogans.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Other results for the lazy:

Greek 4-2 Napier

Tawa 3-1 Lower Hutt

Palmerston Priests 2-2 Declan's Devotees

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Rumour has it the sprinklers at Endeavour Park have been malfunctioning, running while it's raining, and it's an absolute swamp. Council scrambling to sort it out. If true it's a shame, it's been the best pitch in wellington since I can remember

Unlikely - Drains realy fast there, hence the reason it is normally so good.  Given the weather today, likely to be close to normal by tomorrow

1/3 into the season -Today's Napier v Wairarapa  should be a thriller

Wests 2:0 Petone.

I think AJ commented on the Chatham Cup  game between these two a week ago, and I think the same could be said about this game.

Petone always look like a tough nut to crack, they were like that yesterday, Wests certainly dominated most of the game and deserved to win. But for all their possession and at times good play, they didn't create enough. They sort of 'over-powered' Petone in an almost ugly way.

I was at NCR v Wairarapa Utd- was 3 nil after 25 mins & that's how it stayed.CR were all over them but Wai Utd still had chances esp very early in each half. NCR just more aggressive, focussed and precise in front of goal- wai td keeper (borren) had a shocker for the 2nd

Couple of Interesting fixtures this weekend, PNM vs City rovers, PNM knocked city rovers out of the chatham cup last year, and both teams coming off big wins last week.

Also Rapa vs Lower Hutt on Sunday, Hamish Watson going up against his old club for the first time.

Lower Hutt have lost 4 in a row. Their 2 wins have come against UHC, and curiosity of a admin error by Wests. Could be dragged into a relegation fight if they don't pick up soon.

Could be Upper Hutt vs Lower Hutt for relegation then

PNM Vs City rovers has also been moved back to Memorial in Pnorth, away from Ashurst. so finally back to a decent pitch

Interesting, as PNM moved the Chatham Cup game to Skoglund Park (a terrible pitch) to prevent Napier's main boys being able to "play"

yeah i heard that too although apparently they moved the match originally for their cup game against Wairarapa , until rapa got "kicked out". but left it for the napier game as it was too late to change, but i could be wrong.

3 team title race. What a boring league.

Three for me, and two for them.

It is a little boring when the top couple of teams basically beat up on the rest. Looks a bit like ASBP. 1-2 teams throw $ at the CL, the rest can't compete with that so don't even bother.
Then there is rapa who throw more $ than anyone and still can't compete :p

Allegedly

11 games to go for most teams which is still a lot of opportunity for quite a few.

Completely contrasting the Northern Premier League in Auckland.  3 teams tied top of the table, 1 point covering the top 5 and 3 points covering the top 7!

Why did PK even start the season if he knew he was going away? Surely he would have been better off hiring someone else from the start

Fuck this stupid game

Fair enough. I didn't even give that a thought. That's a real shame. Tough going for PK that

Is any one else surprised at how bad the Rapa are doing? 6 points behind the top 3. I thought they would  be higher up the table

It's expected though. Auckland with a larger player base is more likely to have those players spread across the top team. There just isn't the same level of depth in Wellington.

The 2011 success of United in the country's premier men's knockout competition, the Chatham Cup, will always be a standout in Keinzley's list of successes in the coaching sphere and he also recalls with fondness the season where they earned promotion to the Central League and won the Hilton Petone Cup and Swindale Shield along the way.

Um....
