Battle?
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Entirely possible that Maycenvale will pull out, leaving a Tawa-Red Sox home and away match and a final.  Red Sox not bunnies so might be a bit of a scrap.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Why will Maycenvale pull out?

Fuck this stupid game

Probably  can't afford central league travel if they won through.

I heard there is plenty of money at Maycenvale. More than any other club in that league anyway. Besides Rovers of course. I also heard the central league is where they want to be. Things could have changed though, I may be wrong.

Fuck this stupid game

Just had confirmation of the following...

This Saturday: Maycenvale v Red Sox @ Maycenvale
Saturday August 29: Red Sox v Maycenvale @ Red Sox

Saturday September 5: Winner of the above at home to Tawa
Saturday September 12: Second leg at Endeavour Park

Saturday September 19/26 Winner of above vs Wellington United home and away (venues TBC but NOT Redwood or Newtown)

You heart United.  Don't deny it.

Should have two randomly selected semi-finals (home and away) and then a fianl (home and away).  Would be all over in a month and Tawa wouldn't have to wait 3 weeks to play and United wouldn't have to wait 5 weeks to play.  Utterly stupid.

I agree. Had this down in the Mainland PL - had to wait four weeks before we knew who we were playing - and that's also four weeks without any competitive games.

well they should. Ive been saying for year that it is a complete joke how there is not at least one auto relegation spot in CL - but there are too many CF/Club football people with their head up their arses

Tawa game against whoever should just be a one off as well. Make things easier, and not really bone anyone

Surely the point of "Home and Away" is to have one game at each ground.

What's the f**king point of having two games at two neutral venues?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

My sauce isn't good though Maycenvale does have a lot of money and there Ex coach was getting paid enough that he didn't need a daytime job. Chris Greatholder takes there team now

why is the tawa v winner of red socks match being played at endevour? what happened to home ground advantage? pretty much the opposite putting it on their most feirce rivals home ground

redwood is in fine form newly rolled nicely firm & flat

I think 'home and away' should be exactly that! If your not going to why not have a 'one off' semi in levin (nuetral) and the final a one off at endevour (if tawa win through) or again in levin (if red sox win through) and have the whole thing finished and sorted early. I also think United should come straight down and the winner of Tawa v Red Sox or Maycenvale should go straight up.

Read back through the thread you two.

Redwood is unavailable at that time of year, having been handed over to summer sport.

Newtown Park is being re-worked ahead of the NZFC season so is also out.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Watched this game in the weekend. Thought Red sox were the better team but both teams played very well. Ian Robinson Dominated the midfield for Red sox. Very strange decision by the Ref in about the 88th minute when he awarded a goal to Maycenvale to make it 4 a piece but after an uproar from the Red sox bench and coach the linesmen intervened and apparently it was offside. Ref reversed his decision and the Final score was 4-3. Looked a goal where i was standing. I would put money on Red sox finishing them off this weekend at home and Tawa are certainly going to have a big task ahead of them in their play of games.

Not trying to start anything here reefside but I play for Tawa and just want to know if you have seen us play this year. If you have then fair call that it's going to be a tough ask for us if that's what you think (I have no idea what either of these teams will be like except that Robinson is a very quality player) if you haven't are you just going by how well Red Sox looked?

Sorry Footballmad i wasn't trying to start anything either. Yes i have seen Tawa play a few times this season and the team were a delight to watch. Would never compare a team to another without seeing them both play. Never said you would loose the play off just that it will be a tough challenge. I wish you all the best of luck, you thoroughly deserve the promotion.

Red Sox gave a good account of themselves against Olympic in the Chatham Cup.  While Olympic were comfortable winners in the end it wasn't a walkover.

I guess that means that whichever side goes up will have a good chance of doing okay.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

disagree smith. From what I saw olympic dominated red sox, the score line flattering red sox. Tawa to easily win through.
