Storm in a teacup of course.

I understood that in the Western Premiership, Capital League, Central League level and etc, the home club always provide the after match function or else they will face a sizable fine. I assumed that in the promotion/relegation playoffs between teams in these leagues, that the policy still remains.

However, it does not always expected that the away club team is to attend. It would be, of course be impolite for the away team not to attend. In those cases, the away team can submit an apology of non-attendance but again it is not expected and can be depend on inter-club relationship

It is only expected that the home club to host an function because of the policy to maintain a level of standard and a fine that can be imposed by the regulation. It is possible that there is not any obligation between teams of different regional league e.g between Central Football and Captial Football but since both teams are under Captial Football policy then I think maybe there is no real excuse.

The invitation is always there because of the football policy which all clubs are to comply under and it does not need anyone to verbally invite. It is expected that a function at the club will always be there.

It would be worse for an away team that attends the home club only to discover that there was no after match function. And I have been to a few that has happen like that. I normally can't be bother to complain because it is not worth it and it seldom happens and usually because a few clubs not are being organised.

I don't think it's a regulation AWB.  It's just a tradition.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I think it was 5-3. Tawa were scoring for fun at the end though so might have lost track. United were a rabble by the whistle. Didnt see the first half. Amazing that United could have been 3-1 at half time from what I saw.

It was 5-3 to Tawa. Mike Rameakers got 2, Jason Bellman 2 and Pete Withers for 1. For Wgtn Hicham scored 1, not sure who the other two scorers were.

It was 2-1 to Wgtn at half time. Tawa started off alright and were up 1 nil after 5 mins. Wgtn scored after 10 mins and from there until the 60th minute when Wgtn went up 3-1 Wgtn were dominating. Tawa didn't start playing again until it was 3-1, and completely dominated Wgtn in the last 30mins. 4 goals were scored in the last 15-20mins.

The 2nd goal for Wgtn was a quality strike from 30mins, while Hicham's goal (the 3rd) was a great individual effort and a composed finish from a tight angle into an open goal.

Jason Bellman's two goals which were Tawa's 2nd and 3rd killed the game off. Not bad for a central defender.

Most of the Wharfies boys are on a 3 day bender in Chch - so best you dont encourage them to jump on the forums just now. But, I can say from my personal Karori perspective I am really glad Tawa won. They are a good side, they deserve to go up (and should never have had to play off for promotion anyway) - and I look forward to playing on Newtown rather than Redwood in 2010.

Dean is a really good coach, someone should get him to their club.  He's done plenty of work in non-league footbal in the UK and has good qualifications (UEFA B I think), plus he's a top fella

Normo's coming home
