I hope Ped stays at Lower Hutt. As far as I know, him and Macca have a good relationship - which extends to the coaching that Ped does for the club also.....interesting. I guess you would take the money though wouldn't ya? Testing financial times for some folks these days.

Cory Chettleburgh has been given a garantee of a professional contract to Germany mid season if he stays.
Wests have been bullsh*tting players with promises like that for at least 20 years. How can they guarantee a professional contract?

Sounds like you've got a bit of beef with Tawa based on a couple of your comments. So there has now been one new player at Tawa's trainings. Big deal. If Tawa want to do well in Central League then they need to strengthen their team with a few new players. This has got to be expected with any team that moves from Premier to Central League. If over half the team was being replaced by newcomers then you would have a point, but that isn't happening/going to happen, so players aren't being shafted. If a few bench players get dropped to the 2nds, then that's football.

Ive actually played with a few of the guys in the squad and have known a couple since we were kiddies in primary school. And i think the squad could handle central league, so seeing them not playing regularly (or not at all) would suck. Hopefully the team remains largely unchanged for 2010.

Youre making a meal of it. Theres a difference between strengthening a team and overhauling a team. If they stay unchanged like a few people have hinted they will, it will be good news.
hicham >>> tawa
Confirmed?
Na not signed. West have him on their radar too.

My understanding is that his only concern before signing for Wests is travelling to training from work. Other than that, he will be keen to sign.
Some players will miss out from the present squad but they will be the ones who have not done the homework to get fitter for the higher level. That is just life surely.
