NVH to upper hutt sounds like it's a fact.  They should be pretty good this year with their Americans and a bunch of former club men back.

I even saw Wayne Rooker looking like an athlete again...scary!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Thats good news if he is. Was talking to the Upper Hutt keeper few weeks ago, and he is keen to go play cap10 with his mates. He is to lazy to train.

Upper Hutt will be pushing the grade this year. Be in the top 3 with Tawa and Island Bay.

Has Stop Out kept many players from last year?  Otherwise, Karori, Tawa and Island will fight it out...  Can't see Upper Cut or anyone else seeing it through...

I think Upper Hutt will surprise a few teams this year and will be pushing the top spots.

Stop Out have gained few Lower Hutt and Stokes vagas players.

Watched a game the other night. Have gained a few players and lost a few from last year. Still got alot of their poor players from last year, you could argue they have dropped a grade but still no threat really. Might scrap into the top 4
Heared a rumour they are bringing two poms out so hopefully they are better than the ones they had last season.

yes but you support the scousers so you would pic tawa. Just like the pool they will be there but they are not good enough to win it. no offence to russ, stevie and the boys but they have been nothing but close for the last 3 years and it will be the same this year!

what happened to Stop Outs coach frmo last year? Wasnt he a pom with more badges than a boy scout?

Yeah he does but didnt do him any good over here. You could say he had a very poor side to work with though. Still around as far as i know. Alot of rumours since last season that he was going home but pretty sure he was on the sideline when i watched last week. He has an assistant whos come from lower hutt not sure what hes like or who he is.

I think that's Besim Balicevac you're talking about as assistant.  Park Life tells me his official title is High Performance Coach - which seems to mean general all round good guy.

Think the pom coach is still there.  People speak highly of him.  Results from last year are hardly indicative of coaching ability and he did blood a lot of excellent kids they have coming through the ranks.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I thought the Islanders got promoted last season.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Don't think Naenae will be in the running this year.  Island bay Tawa and UH top 3

agre on the naenae rejection, staing up will be a good reslt for them..kapiti?  not sure about them either...  It could be a close season though....

Yes you maybe right about Neanea i watched them a few times last year and they looked far to good for cap one and won it quite easy. But prem a bit harder mid table will be a good result for Naenae. so i will pick it in one Tawa to win it.

well people writing off naenae is good means we can keep flying under the radar

Think it will depend on if Jamie comes back.....his goals set Naenae apart from all other teams in Cap 1 last season.  No disrespect to Naenae as the all round team game was solid, and you have a few very good players....but ultimately it was Henders goals that clinched it for you.

I'm not sure how formal the ties between Wests and HIBS have been for the last few years anyway.

Wests have a bunch of youngsters training now, not sure how many (if any) of them are from HIBS.  3 or 4 are from Onslow's 1st XI.

I do not know much about west can someone tell me will they have a good side for prem or will they struggle. They seem to be very capable at central level.
Permalink Permalink

generally, not.  They usually have a bunch of wellingtons finest teenagers who are introduced to mens football, thier skill and passing is often better than most teams at this level, but they are lacking on the physical and mental side.  The plus is, quite a few of them buil on these weaknesses andafter a couple of years seem to excell for the CL team, or other CL teams...  Plus they probably have the same issue that other second teams do with lack of consistency in player selection due to players moving between the grades..  All the CL 2nd teams face that problem...

Don't get me wrong, your team play was good and you obviously wouldn't have scored without your teammates setting you up for the majority of them.

Didn't mean it in any way as a slight on the rest of the Naenae team, just thought your finishing was the difference (and your overall goal tally) and that they wouldn't do as well without you this season in a higher grade....

I enjoyed watching Naenae last year, and am looking forward to seeing you surprise a few in Cap Prem this year...

You on your way back then Hendo?
