Nick stop winding Sam up...He is a good player and when I mentioned he is ok, I meant leave the guy alone cos he is a good player. I have seen a lot worse in this league and above. I would prefer to have him in my team than half the team you play in.

i agree there are worse people in the league, but sam is my best mate and he is too easy to wind up, hence why he got the red card in the first place.ps leave my team alone who ever you are!

On that matter. Great for the first five minutes. (yes... there may be exaggeration...) Went off after seventy(ish) and looked shattered.  FITNESS LACKING.

Shame....

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Wharf 3-0 over LOwer Hutt goals to Mike Greene and keeper Mark Fulcher and someone else.

Wharf decimated by injuries.

Tawa 2-0 over Naenae.  Even game, less errors by Tawa.

by drilling it inside the near post!

two injuries after ten, then a broken leg, and due to our sub not coming from early game due to injury, we had to resort to an unorthodox formation -our keeper up front.

I'm not sure who I'm more surprised to see score, Fulcher or Greene.

Its no longer a problem.

Alex Lambert apparently.

Whithers on the scoreboard again for Tawa.  The man's a machine.  Not bad for someone old enough for masters!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

we won't get demoted, our game yesterday against Tawa more than proved that, most of their players after the game said it was their hardest so far, both goals were very very very soft, first one our reserve keeper flat footed just sort of rolled past them then whithers flicked one over from a throw in which went straight over our keepers head into the goal on about a 2 angle haha. Just gotta stop letting soft goals in and less mistakes and we'll be sweet.

I'd still be a bit worried with only LH and Wests below you...they tend to have, um, strong finishes to the season...

And I know that a lot of people said that we (Marist) were reasonable after playing us last year, didn't stop us going down in last place! If you don't get off to a good start it can turn into a real dog fight at the bottom.

Though I do hope you manage to hold your place...

Smithy how do you come up with KCU and Naenae or for even that matter anyone at such a early stage. as a coach  if Petone reserves lose the next two games does that mean its curtains for your players and the season. Showing your inexperiance as a coach for f  sake the season is only 4 games old. Dah

Was a great game at Bell Park, Wharfies played very well and Fulcher was constant menace when he went up front.

Greene had a very good game, as did Hilly, Bucks, Potter and Soley.  McKinlay solid at the back once again as he has been in every game I've watched thus far.

Alex's leg went snap in a 50-50 challenge right in front of me and the noise was certainly louder and uglier than a shin pad breaking!!

I believe Naenae will find their feet and adapt to this level, they missed Wheels for a couple of games but they are a better team than to go back down.

Tawa have impressed me, and as for Withers....great footballing head on him and just keeps scoring!!

Hardest so far??  Oh aprt fom the game Tawa lost right...  If you keep letting in soft goals, it is probably becaue you have a soft defense...

Naenae looking good to go back down...

Maybe something to do with the fact that those are the lowest ranked clubs without teams above them to drop players down and ensure they survive.

Or maybe I'm a muppet.  Either a serious possibility.

so it seems we have to wait til the season is finished before we have an opinion on who gets relegated.

Lower Hutt are going to have their work cut out for them.

Get grip Bob - it's not cheating. Wests beat Island Bay with a bunch of kids and two fringe first teamers who both sat on the bench the day before. That's football mate - get used to it.

I played for Tawa against Naenae. They were good attacking wise but some poor touches at the back and very weak keeper and when keeper keeps costing them games it will be hard for them.If they had someone decent between the sticks they would be much stronger. But playing at the back it was my toughest game of the season but maybe just cause of Henders. As for the Wests game I watched it and I hate to say it but they looked quite good.Greg O'Connor and Jon Rowe up front are two good strickers. They had a chilean player centre mid and very talented. The two Cain brothers one right mid, one centre mid. Bryce Howard, Fraser Colson at the back and a couple of others. There bench though had five kids (under 19) except the player coach

Well done to Wests for their victory today. Huge kudos for their excellent post match function also, showed superb hospitality with a huge spread of food and the speeches. footballmad is correct, they had their proper Reserve team playing, a few of which were on the bench yesterday for the 1st team, just like every club in the world does.
