Not sure if its rigged as us at Masterton played Eastbourne at home for 3 years straight. Still didnt manage to win or get an away trip. we only in it for another game of football and a reason to have a beer.  Villa will be a bit tougher but I think you will be calling them "HORIZON" after the game because they will get smoked!!

Looking forward to it

Oh Jag. It's been a long, long time since your lot had a win, hasn't it?

Three for me, and two for them.

Not rigged.  I was there.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I think Wgt Col should comfortably beat Waikanae. They have a couple of players who should be playing higher than Cap3 but... yeah.

Yeah, it has indeed, Buffy.

I'm afraid I won't have the pleasure of meeting either of you on the field of battle, lads. For personal reasons, I've hung up my coaching jacket.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

No worries mate, just other things taking priority at the moment. I'm sure the lads will be picking up some points soon.

Can someone explain something... why does NZF refuse to even consider playing the final outside of Auckland? Why did Wests (being current holders at the time) have to travel back up tp dorkland to defend the title they already held a few years ago? Lets say Olympic make the final again, it should be at Newtown park, yeah?

I'll explain it for you AJ.

Try reading back through previous rants on this subject instead of dredging it back up again.

When theres 57 pages it becomes rather tedious, it also doesnt help that the search function lacks the basic abililty to search a particular topic. Surely it couldnt have taken you more than half a minute more to breifly explain. But ok...

Does anyone else think it's f**king disgraceful that Central Region clubs get a free pass to Round 2 the same as top Northern League clubs.

I mean what. the. f**k.

Central Football is a massive bumhole quality-wise and to give the likes of horrendously-named Cru-Bar Maycenvale a white flag all the way through to Round 2 is a joke.

Who makes these decisions?

Fully agree.

Remember that the early rounds are Federation based - Central is a Federation - then it moves to regions and finally national.
Ideally, of course, it would be totally open from the start so Eastbourne or Porirua could draw Auckland City first round.  The cost though would deter many from entering which is why the graduated system was, sensibly, introduced in the dark ages.

As a side note - why is levin playing in the capital chatham cup pool? They play in the mid central league don't they?

They play in the Horowhenua league which is part of Capital Football. Good result for them.
That's what Cup football is all about.

Not only Levin, but what about Rongotai - great result for them, considering people are saying Wainui are a dark horse to win Capital 1.

We had a pretty casual day at the office. We got up 1 nil right before half time against Seatoun, then just ground them down.

Biggest issue was we only had a ref and no lineo's. Bit stink, for a fairly important game - in terms of it being a knock out

Saw the second half of Wharf v the Norfs, Wharf scored 3 more in that half.

Also froze my bollocks off.

Easy game for coll, even gave cheeck to the waikanae players around the end of the game. Imagine a Rongotai vs Coll game in the next round :O

Waikanae were minging.  The game wasn't up to much on the whole either.  WC did it comfortably.
