Island Bay United are seeking expressions of interest in coaching our Men's Second team (Cap 1 defending champs), Men's Third team (Newly Cap 2) and Men's Fourth team (Cap 4).

Please send an email to ibuafc@gmail.com and we will respond with further details.

It's also never too early to register your interest to come and play for one of Wellington's most promising clubs.  No matter the level you're after get in touch and we can keep you in the loop with any updates on the 2013 season.

We can foster discussions with our elite coaches or put you in touch with the lower grade teams so send us an email or check us out on facebook now. https://www.facebook.com/IslandBayIBUAFC

we've just moved our team from Waterside Karori to Island Bay, looking forwad to donning the yellow and black again - the team started at the bay about 12 years ago and moved to Waterside as the capt at the time did. Playing div 14 this year which is a drop from div 10. Can't wait for the new season to start.

geez mate bitter much? we left Karori for pretty genuine reasons - given none of us live out that way any more...it was only logical that we moved to a club closer to us. Besides the fact that when we advised of the move the response from Karori was fairly bitchy to honest - no thanks for the decade of membership and bar takings, no best wishes nothing, and my email advising of the move was more than thankful for all the help I'd had from the club.

email? your only email to  me was late in the peice saying there was a new manager.. whose first email to me was that the team was moving! Sums it up really! (If I missed your email then I withdraw all that :)  )

and hardly bitter. The spot was snapped up by a returning team who frequent the clubrooms and social events and play good footy. All the best!

yup, I could post the email here - but I'm not trying to make any issue here. Especially when the thread was started as an IBU thread. The response to the new manager was hardly friendly. Eitherway the move to IB was necessary and suited us, after a good number of years at karori. We'll no doubt be back at the Karori bar when we play the Swifts on #1, which I'm sure you'll arrange for us aye! (insert smiley here)

My pick: Greenie to make an appearance for the Swifts in that game, and pick up at least one card.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
