got a broken nose and fractured eye socket...though
And so MAGS should be coming first with their daily practices, recruitment of top players from round the country, your football academy etc. Which makes the win by Rangitoto even more fantastic !!!
We are coming first...

MAGS suffered there first defeat of the season today to Ranigtoto 3-2...... Gutting. 1-0 up then 2-1 up but threw it away. Oh well not the end of the world and were still coming first !
LOLHow could they loose to my old school
Ha no offence but the supporters were all muppets.. 1 was a 60 year old man 'yahooing', simply pathetic and embarrassing for you guys
No offense taken.

College Premier table:
St Pats (Town) 9 (+6)
St Pats (Stream) 6 (-1)
Wellington College 3 (+6)
Tawa 3 (+1)
Pram 0 (-3)
Scots 0 (-9)
If I recall correctly the top three qualify for Nationals.
The two St Pat's have played 3 games while the others have all played two.

Yeah but only by themselves. I predict they'll end up going anyway.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Why? Who banned who?
They behaved like muppets at last year's tournament in Masterton, including making some poor kid stand outside in the freezing rain naked with a road cone on his head for a few hours as "initiation".
Seems to be a lot of male nudity involved in St Pat's Town's initiation ceremonies. Makes one wonder...
Anyway, the school's response was to tell them they were not going to tournament next year (this year). We'll see though, they have a good team and could do well.
My guess is that they'll say "oh well it was mostly the fault of the kids who have left so off you go."
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Have to agree with your there Smithy. Would be a crying shame as this year's Pats team is a peak year and probably their best for 5 years or so and who knows when they will have another year like this.
Would be a tragedy if they did not go to Nationals. Apparently there headmaster is adamant they wont be going. Mind you Stream were meant to have their worldbeating team last year and they came 17th at Nationals, with Wellington College's so called average class of 2010 achieving 7th, their best result in years !!
Funny old game is football...
(Coll 2 NPBHS 1 today in New Plymouth)

After the way they behaved last year they deserve a year off, good team or not.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

And 6 of the best, but that's prpbably regarded as a reward, not punishment

Only if they do it to each other naked in the rain with a road cone. Oooooerrrr.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

this headmaster seems like a dick. S*** going down with that ball and now this. Unlucky for Pats in a way.

So you think this is appropriate? "They behaved like muppets at last year's tournament in Masterton, including making some poor kid stand outside in the freezing rain naked with a road cone on his head for a few hours as "initiation".

They won't condone same sex relationships at their ball, or away on football tournament.
At least they're consistent.

Luck has nothing to do with it.

Fair enough, id just like to see them go up and see how well theyll do, either choke like silverstream or make top 8?

yeah good consistency, but homosexuality is not a choice...

Silverstream 1 Palmerston North Boys 1

How are the National Champs looking this year or was it played on such a watery s**thole that you couldnt tell ?

no no silverstream held up pretty well compared others... Palmy had the potential to do well but stream restricted them to play and pressed well. Stream dominating 1st half up 1 nil, could have been 3. Palmy getting there act together in the 2nd half with a goal coming from a follow up after a good save initially, unlucky stream. All in all fair game, but cant see Palmy winning nats again. Dont see how Pats town lost 2-1 to palmy though?

Yeah well I wouldnt have predicted they could win last year when I saw a pre Nationals game where they drew with Coll, who were all over them.
My prediction. The only full time professional team, MAGS, will win the Nationals, unfortunately. Doesn't it usually go MAGS,MAGS,MAGS, someone else, MAGS, MAGS,MAGS. And they will be smarting from not winning last year !

Sorry Stefan, didnt see your post in time to let you know where it was being played. I know Coll are playing Tawa at Te Whaea at 2.30 pm this Wednesday though.
Today's game was a bit strange. Pretty even first half, 1-0 to Stream at the half. Coll completely dominant second half. Coll without 3 of their most experienced players Striker Hillbron, midfielder Furnish and defender Grealish. Their striker Amir was best on park. Stream were missing Basalaj but he did watch the game. McIntyre was going nuts all game (whats new)

hahaha, mcintyre for ya. Woudnt be suprised if streamers took the lower hutt approach

Good result for WC. Say what you like about Macca on the sideline his is a good coach and has a good team who will do well nationally.
This WC team could defy all the doubters and do quite well at nationals I reckon. Charlie to finish up on a high (if indeed he is finishing up at all).
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
