Sacred Heart maybe?

Correct.

Coached by Danny Hay.

So, three teams from Auckland, one from Welly, that's a pretty fair reflection of the game in this country tbh.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Think your coach was feeling the pressure as he went absolutely nuts at the RSA staff at dinnertime for MAGS having to sit at (God forbid) TWO tables instead of ONE at dinner time.
You will no doubt feel the pain next week !

Good on Stream for getting to the final, but justice prevailed and a very good side who played quality football completely deserved their win over a team of aggressive battlers.

The College Final is at Wakefield at 7.15 pm this  Wednesday 31st August  between St Pats (Town) and Wellington College.

WC qualified top in the round robin and beat Stream(4th) in the semi.
Pats qualified 2nd and beat Paraparaumu(3rd) in their semi
Should be a tight game. Two very evenly matched sides.

MAGS lost 'knockout cup' final to Sacred Heart 3-2. Really great atmosphere with Sacred Heart really into it.. MAGS led twice and was a really tight game.

P.S. My team won 13th grade final earlier in the day !! YEEHAA

Nayland College has booked its place at nationals with a 2-1 victory over Nelson College today. It was the first game held at the Nelson College front field in more than 20 years and just the second game held there in the school's history. Nelson College is likely to obtain one of the wildcard spots.

AGS V MAGS Final.

AGS comfortable over Sacred Heart which to me is a bit of an upset.

MAGS V Westlake decided on pens.

Plate final will also be a beautiful Hamilton Boys V St Peter's (Camb). Have been neck and neck also season withHBHS having the slightest of upper hands

I thought Westlake were the better team until the second half of extra time. Final tomorrow should be a cracker. Didn't think Sacred Heart were particularly great when I watched them play Kelston, so not surprised they aren't in the top two.

Anyone know who the stars are to watch in each team?

I only know Corey Adams from Mags. Pretty tidy/fast/nippy goal scorer. He beat one of his best mates Isreal Whitley from Westlake today. Both lads on scholarships from Gisborne.

On that - Auckland schools clearly miles ahead again and it's no secret it's due to the money pumped into sports at Auckland schools. I had a job interview at one of these schools a few months ago and I was blown away by the emphasis they put into winning all things sports but mainly first XI's and XV. It's almost like the principal's are on an ego trip too, trying to win bragging rights.

How many guys are on scholarships? The right back today, Fox Slotemaker, is a Nelson boy.

Not sure but there are a fair few. I know Fallon hands them out willy nilly. A lot of kids given Mags scholarships never turn out to be that great, less don't than do anyway.

Do you know if Onslow's keeper was able to play final? He was sent off in the semi-final shootout for swearing at ref and Dan Withinshaw went in to goal (saved a couple). Thought he might be keeper for final but heard the suspension had been overruled.

You know we belong together...
