Surely there are some representatives from all the clubs on here - give me a brief overview of each one.  Who the gaffer is, how the squad is looking, who will be playing in the Jonesy, etc

revised draw out today thanks to Olympic who have had time to compare the original draw with the CL one and then asked to move games to Sunday where they will be able to stack their team. It will be just like Wests all over again..

I don't understand this, why do they get special treatment? along with the other clubs that do it, I can't see how they're so easily allowed to dictate when they play. Is there something I'm missing?

Fuck this stupid game

Don't Olympic traditionally play Sundays because they share Newtown Park with Wellington United?

strong league with probaby 5-6 capable of winning it. upper hutt, waterside, wellington and miramar would have to be title contenders would'nt they??
when looking at the draw everyone must favour themselves too take the 3 points v wainuiomata. tough honest side but new to this level and would do well to stay up??

A side with a plently of Central League experinced players. I dont think anyone would be taking them likely.

Realise thats to do with Central League but is a 4th ref really necessary? Serious, CL is our top grade.... but when grades below are missing out on referees I don't really find it too important for someone to be 4th referee

There will be big cheers from the lower grades knowing he's doing a line elsewhere.

Wharf 1 Mar 2. Fairly even game, most notable talking point is it was the first game of the season and the referee is the central figure. Wharf have Tarrant sent off in 75th minute, came out one on one got a glove on the ball and then took the player with his follow through, apparently the referee has never heard of interia. Defender back tracking was questionbly the last man and not the keeper. Anyway he gets sent off with the score at 1-1. It would be good if more referees had actually played football, I think they would get a lot more difficult decisions right.

I don't think I've ever heard of it either...

But seriously, got to love people who try to pass the blame on to physical quantities, had a guy in a game I played today push another guy off the ball and said it was 'just gravity ref'

No cause for complaint - all this happened outside the box, and keeper handling the ball outside the box in a goal threatening situation is a red card offence in its own right.
