Updates :

Lower Hutt 2nds were leading Varsity 1-0
Lower Hutt 1sts and Marist was 0-0 - game pretty average from what I spotted.
Wharf up 4-0 over BNU at half time.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Im pretty sure Lower Hutt 1sts lost 0-1 to Marist who were a man down when they scored as well. From what i saw Lower Hutt were woeful. AJ132010-03-01 20:46:43

Lower Hutt woeful yes, us slighty less woeful.

We actually scored with a man down yes, but Lower Hutt by that stage were two men down. A stright red for and a second booking for them.

I dunno, fair result? Hutt hit the crossbar twice in 5 seconds in the 85th minute. But we will take it

Green bibs 4-3 Red bibs at 2nd team training.  Smith opened the scoring for Red bibs but Green bibs fought back from behind to win a tense encounter.

No Hilton Petone games on Wednesdays numpty.  Just Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Sweet, I had $5 on Green bibs by a single goal. Wish i had taken the first scorer on Smithy. That was paying $1000

Its no longer a problem.

Liar.

Odds were not offered on me to score because it would have brought down the TAB.

I know it's early days but Miramar must be slightly concerned about their Hilton results

Why would you think that? Have you watched them play or are you just assuming it is their 1st team (which its not) playing in these games.

Get along and watch some games, you may enjoy it.

Petone said if we lost they'd give us free reign on car theft at Petone Memorial.

Nah, we just played pretty averagely to be honest and NW were pretty hungry for the win after not even scoring a goal until they played us. All goals in the game were pretty average with Tareks probably being the standout for both squads. Couple of dodgy offside calls by the lino but hey thats football, didn't excuse us from not performing. Actually looking forward to being able to go out on Saturday night and drink up the Phoenixs win over Sydney!

When does the draw for the next round come out??
Permalink Permalink

A woeful 2-1 victory for Marist this week, that combined with the hutt putting away Karori, means we come third on goal difference. What a bitter pill this is to swallow.

We sucked, and i mean sucked hard. Had another player sent off for a clumsy challenge, straight red, but I really don't see how. It was about 4 yards outside the box, their player hadn't controlled the ball, and he wasn't clear through on goal, but oh well it happens. And we actually looked better with 10 men.

Either way, if we had played like this against either Karori or the Hutt, we would have been crucified.

Also - I'm tempted to become a striker

I don't have the group results but someone will work it out.

The draw for Sunday is:

Winner Group 1 vs Second Group 3

Second Group 2 vs Winner Group 4

Winner Group 3 vs Second Group 1

Second Group 4 vs Winner Group 2

(Same for both divisions).
