Everyone out there tonight ?

Miramar vs Keeperess BNU
Wharfies vs Tawa

Should be some comedy gold.  We're thinking of running a sweep on what minute Feverish gets a red.

Jeez don't give Salmon the chance to rave on HN, he's already full of it. Wants the goal (yes the goal) to count toward the Club golden boot. My fault, I forgot to tell the coach in advance that Salmon's best pozzie is left back.

Jimmy Hill dark haired guy up front? if it was he should have had a least 3 more, Football or lack of it was pretty poor in all 4 games last night, it appears heaps of 1st team players still missing from teams if not a couple of the teams from last night in big trouble.

Went to petone again last night, watched the game between Olympic and Marist, pretty fiery game, wet slippery conditions plenty of tackles going in some good ones and some not so good,  heaps of verbal between the 2 teams. It was good stuff enjoyed watching it.

WU 2 IB 0, pretty drab until last 15 when we got on top. Last night Petone 2 SV1 so maybe SV are on the improve. Rest of the games were 2nd Div and looked equally as bad. Whatever rain there was last night has done nothing for the pitches, they are rock hard. Add some wind and its no surprise to see the quality right down there.

Was it 2-0 rightstr?  Official results said 1-0?

It was 1-0. We dominated the first half but couldn't make anything of it. 2nd half was United's, especially the last 20 minutes. Us constantly giving away possession ended up with a United break in the last few minutes and they scored a very good goal. Neither side deserved to win but that's football. A terrible game for the neutral but congratulations to WU for the result.

I agree with that summary, and I wasn't aware til later that we had a goal disallowed Liverpoolfan1. My mistake, I saw it go in on the way to get something from the car and just assumed it was OK.

Tough conditins last night for everyone. Strong wind, VERY hard ground and still early season. Some good footy played in patches though. Teams will only get better as people come back from other commitments and fitness levels improve. I'm definatly looking forward to the upcoming season. Bring on the rain and softer grounds

Its no longer a problem.

Bet you won't be saying that in July

Indeed very tough conditions last night.  Think both teams struggled to get the ball on the ground at times.

Was impressed with IB last night.  Played some good footy at times and would expect to see them  high up on the premier table.  They definitely had the better of the first half but didnt create too many clear cut chances.  I only remember making a couple of saves.

Great goal from our centre back. Must have been 25 yards out.

Let hope we roll petone on Sunday and IB roll SV so the defending champions get knocked out in the group stages
