I am, however, the go-to man for Avatar names these days...aren't I Gravy Boy?

Stokes Vegas apple crumbled.

George Weah up front goes alright. Same with the orange boot guy. In fact they have a few decent players. Couldnt hold it together though. Actually saying that I just remembered one of theirs got sent of which could explain it opening up in the last fifteen.

who got your goals?

i'll also expect a detailed report on Vegas'  squad prior to Cap 1 season kick off.

Jimmy Hill must have got a few. Included two pens. Shannon got one, so he might have got four. Might be looking good for golden boot. Prob should have had 15 though.

There is a rumour going round that NVH isn't actually injured and just grabbed an opportunity to sneak some morphine by screaming for a bit ;-)

Anyone catch the Tawa B vs Olympic B match? What were Tawa like?
Permalink Permalink

i caught (played) in it.
um we had dan wood from 1sts tht was it he didnt manage to score although probably shouldve baged a hatrick.
um olympic them usual self when you get a goal they get frustrated and decide to kick the living sh*t out of you and not worry about the football so bassically olympic lost it more than we played well.

anyway wouldnt think wed b playing u nxt round anyway dkp cause wasn't olympic in your group and seatoun in ours we should really be on different side of the draw now.

You can only beat the team the oppostition puts on the field.

True they had the better of the second half but most of the position was playing it along the back and acorss the midfield.  Didn't really create many shots on target.

So did lower hutt have a RGK, or did they use a  ring-in GK?

Smithy was the reason we didnt score his continual banter from the side line while i was preparing for firstly the half time show, and then when i finally got on the field all i could hear was his no joke joke about him cuming on up front with michele the italian pornstar what a strike team that would have been, to destracted to do any good

Obviously I haven't seen any of the games but there seem to have been a huge amount of red cards waved around this year. Is it more than usual, or have the players lost the plot this year?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I could have put a mortgage on the Olympic vs Stop Out game having red cards.

But yes, quite a few reds. Can't really explain that

Everyone is pretty hostile this time of year i think. Plus the refs are warming up their trigger fingers

I think some of the cards have been a bit harsh - maybe the refs are really knuckling down this year.

Glad to say I haven't seen any as yet

I understand it was Ian Walker. Used to do a lot of reffing here about 6 or 7 years ago. Still debate about how he died, haven't heard the actuall cause of death yet.

Watched the game last night, left with 10 mins to go, The 2 Reds that I saw were both for 2 yellows, Jamie( Olympic) first one was for headlock on opposition player second both he and Mckay got yellows for kicking each other, second Red was for the Stop Out player yes you guessed it Alex for another rash tackle. Probably another 5 yellows for tackles and stopping the opposition progress, for those that didn't watch it you missed some good goals.
