Fixtures for the 381st and final ever round of the MPL.
Friday 7:30pm
Christchurch United vs Coastal Spirit
Saturday
11.30am
Cashmere Technical vs. Nelson Suburbs
2:45pm
Ferrymead Bays vs. Halswell
Selwyn vs. Nomads

Surely in the interests of fairness all the last round should have been played at the same time! If Suburbs suffer a heavy loss then Selwyn and Nomads could technically team up to get the right score to allow them both into the Southern League and drop Suburbs out 🤔

Yes and a great save (ball away for a corner) from PT from a Nomads penalty after 62 minutes - Drama Rama as you would say

It’s a bit disappointing with the Chatham cup draw we didn’t get an early South Island league preview.

Coey Turipa in goals for FC, long time since his last appearance in mainland football.

Are the fixtures out for the reformed MPL league? Where can I find them

Fixtures now up and due to get underway this weekend! What's everyones predictions?

IMO Cashmere and Chch Utd make the National League with Coastal running it close with the latter, Royals and Suburbs and Selwyn in the middle of the pack with maybe GI and Uni at the latter end. But really close expect everybody will win at least one maybe even at least two games.

Bad weather has forced the bus bringing Nelson Suburbs south for their clash with Coastal Spirit in the opening round of the Southern League, to return back to Nelson so game has been postponed.

Top team goes through, second team may have play-off against a Nelson Div 1 team. (only 2 go through to SL in 2022)

Is it not only 2 (or do Football South have a place too?) Winner goes into it and 2nd place may play off against a team from Nelson if they have put their name forward

Yeah my maths just failed me for a moment, got it lol.

Football South not getting an extra team, and lowest finishing FS team in the Southern League has to playoff against the best of the rest.

Bottom three MPL sweep CCL. Is the gap that big? I don’t think so but didn’t see those type of score lines after week 1.

Any early league predictions? There will be one or two upset clubs that will miss the opportunity for a southern league space after the next 5 weeks
