3 2 final score...

First time University have conceded 2 goals in the league this season.

Looks like at the moment University will need to get three points back in the appeal and then win their final game against Cash Tech this Saturday and then rely on Waimak defeating ChCh United in 27 July which would see University go up as the would have the same number of points then United but a better goal difference. (I think that is right)

Will be a busy time then with the final training camp in Auckland for the rest of the week, with the Coastal girls down to Dunedin for the KO Cup on Sunday then off to Aussies for the test series.

Woot!
Wonder if any of the Coastal girls made it? Do tell.

Must be close to some sort of record, particularly for a club south of the Bombays?

Can't believe Ash Ward missed out though. Interesting the stand out attacking player for Coastal the last few games has been Chloe Webster, did she even get a trial?

Chloe was involved in the trials but as one of the players called in to make up the numbers for two playing eleven's. Was not at the trials so cannot what happen on the day but Asheigh Ward has been a stand out on the local scene. Hard to compare players when a trial was held in each island.

Great news for all the six Mainland girls that made the cut with Bel van Noorden coming back from a serious injury to hopefully make her international debut at Under 20 level.

Yup, and a nice big 2k fine from Mainland.  Now all we need is a sacking and criminal charges laid against Mr Rose

What? Even their own?
What's behind all this then or is it just fall out from the recent Cashmere/Western end of game incident?

Looks that way. I am sure we will hear more about this.

Western at ASB Football Park against Halswell on Saturday, maybe the match program will list the names of the fans and not the players.

Vim are you heading to Dunedin in Sunday with the girls or you in a staring role on a pitch in Christchurch.

Trying to organise a road trip to Nelson actually...

FYI if anyone tried to stop me turning up and watching my favourite team at a public park I think they would have a hard time.

Begs the question is ASB a public park?

Great tweets from Saxon Oval. Can Skippy score against against his old team?

Usure, does Mainland have a lease on English Park?

What will Coastal win the Women's KO Cup 1/4 Final by, surely will be a four or five goal margin?

Permalink Permalink

Hopefully a win, that's all I care. Are the Dunedin side not much then I take it?

I can understand there being some more restrictions on English Park, however surely nothing for open sparse public land that is the rest of the home grounds in the Premier League. If there was trouble from me, or my lot, I could understand a ban, but for supporting your team? Paleese.

The Dunedin sides are getter better but Dunedin Technical and Roslyn are way out infront of the other four sides so not too many 'hard' games down that way. Has been very wet down in Dunedin so the ground condition may be a leveller but I think Coastal's fitness and experience will tell in the end.

I do not think Garrick Park is a public park.

Quiz time. Since the Mainland PFL was first introduced in 2002 four sides have gone through the season without a win. Can you name them and will FC Twenty11 make it five?

Garrick? Probably not. Considering how much money CCC, CEAT, SKY, and all the gambling trusts have put into it.

And I am sick of all the hassles Coastal get over the state of Cuthberts after every game. Yes it's shit, we know that, you know that. That's what happens on the East where we are living in constant roadworks and shoddy or non-existent repairs.

You think the field is bad? Try looking at the houses!

Few little whispers that the Uni appeal with NZ football is heading towards a positive outcome for the students. Let's hope so, they certainly deserve promotion to the top flight. Guess we shall wait and see, decision cant be far away!

Certainly hope whatever the result is that is announced sooner rather than later, before all the Div 1 games are completed.

They do deserve a crack in the premier league, they have some great players, just a decent admin person.

Ooh you do have the goss AW82. So how many points we talking as they'll need at least 3 possibly 6. And I agree the decision needs to be fast as the league finishes this wknd doesn't it? Would be a shame if its after it finishes and it comes down to GD or something.

Here's a guess -
Burnside, Varsity, Woolston, Cashmere?

1-0 will do, they are a tough lot down their and certainly will be primed to try and trip up a team containing 6 age group internationals. It's never easy in Dunners, just a shame they moved the game out of the Forsyth Bar stadium.
