Naughty Coastal. Wazza will be along in a minute telling us the guy should lose his job and be banned for life.

Hopefully just a rumour and not true.

confirmed from a coastal player involved in the game, one of their players verbally assualted the referee with some colourful langauage then proceded to physically assualt him before being sent off. Sounds like the ref had a poor game from his one eye but at the end of the day if you behave like this you have to accept the consequences

Absolutely. I believe Coastal, like many clubs have a policy that makes all players responsible for their own fines and suspensions so that will most likely be the beginning and the end of it. As for Bradley Bills assertion that Coastal are now in trouble this was an incident on the grass between a player and a ref which should follow the normal judicial process. If Mainland take a hard line with the club they could be out of order given the clubs track record so far this season. Maybe they should follow Westerns lead but take it one step further and ban players from attending games? Or perhaps the 2 clubs merge so the supporters are on the same page as the players?

Great news for Coastal Spirit women's team with a home semi against Seatoun in the ASB National KO Cup. Venue and date to be comfirmed, but has to be played 24 or 25 August.

Big week in the PFL, with two midweek games:

Tues: FC Twenty11 vs.  Cashmere Technical (brought forward due to Tech in Chatham Cup on Sunday against Palm. North Marist)

Wed: Nomads vs. Ferrymead Bays - catch up game from two weeks ago

Sat: Coastal Spirit vs. Halswell, Nomads vs. Western

Sun: Nelson Suburbs vs. Ferrymead Bays

Two win for Bays and they will be back in second place, if they don't then real pressure on retaining title and if Western win then game on for third place.

Halswell still chasing one more win to reach 100.

FC need to win all their remaining games if that have any hope of avoiding playing Div 1 in 2014 (more likely of me winning Lotto than that happening).

Hopefully Cashmere Technical and follow Coastal's women's team and reach the semi final of their National KO CUp - aka Chatham Cup.

Will be interesting to see how it will pan out if this does happen as the semi-final if the Chatham Cup takes place the same weekend as the final round of the MPL - maybe not be an issue if league titlehas already been decided but if not will not be able to play all four games at the same time which has happen in the previous two seasons.

And if they win then both win semi's look out for a massive double header for the finals at ASB Park!
Now wouldn't that be good for football?

Great idea and if Tech win and then draw a home semi we could have a double header for the semi's as well.

FC must have fancied an upset at halftime. Somebody got the half time talk skew whiff.

First two goals to Andy Pits with Dan Ede a hat-trick, with other Tech scorers cory Mitchell and Danny Boys.

14 goals in four days not a bad build up for their Chatham Cup 1/4 on Sunday against Marist in Palmy North.

Dan Ede hat-trick now sees him and Russell Kamo joint leaders in Golden Boot race.

Game on now, they've improved the sound by turning it off.

Yea think they bought the cheap package ..... when the sound came on their is no crowd mikes and sounds like the commentators are 2 old mates sitting in a pub in Manchester watching the game on tele.

Cashmere Tech are currently the #1 side in NZ according to my rankings system. So well done down there - I expect Cashmere to cruise into the Chatham Cup semis in the weekend!  And not to be diminished a win tonight will push Bays into the #6 spot.

Just found out about the rankings and have to say I'm proud to be involved with the Cashmere technical club this season. Excited for the rest of the season!
