Pretty obvious, scoring goals. Dan scored 1st 2 then Greg came and beat him to the hat trick.  Selwyn were up 5-1 then conceded 2 goals late on to make 5-3 before Dan thought he better not miss out on his hat trick too. Good game

Is this turning into a 2 horse race between Western and Tech?

whoah, barely out of the first furlong fella.

Check the table. Both yet to concede a goal.

MPL games, Halswell to get a point today and leave Nelson on the bottom after losing to Bays.

Tech 3-0 over Varsity and Western 1 Nomads 1.

You're having a laugh.  Halswell getting no points today with a Coastal 3-1 win, Bays 2-0 ,  Tech 2-1 and Western 4-0 over Nomads.

Lock it in.

Was about to post my picks and read this...every score i had marked down matches Vims picks!  Scary and probably means they've no chance of being correct!

Yer probably a good idea you didn't do the same as my picks.

Shocking game at Halswell, with the hosts yet to score this season and managed to bang 5 past us. 2 of them were keeper clangers, 1 was a penalty, with the other been relatively nice pieces of team play.

Certainly makes for an interesting table with the top two away, then everyone else on 4, 3, 3, 3, 2 and 1. Every game means something this year, no luxury of FC2011 languishing at the bottom of the table all year.

Halswell women lost a knock out cup game yesterday but their PDL game is listed as ' no ground'. Surely it's the same group of players and they had to default one of the matches?

Same group, so why were they even in the knockout? Thought this was only for WPL teams?

I thought it was one team per club, so if the Div 1 want to enter, then it's not problem is it?

Yer, only for the opposition PDL team (fc20) who weren't credited with a default win.

Oh right I get you. But it's a cup round, you don't default your Premier League game if you're in the FA Cup.

Didn't appear to any major blowouts in Masters on Saturday although this round was the one scheduled when everyone was in Masters 1, 2 or 3, so should have been relatively evenly matched.

Nervous about our next batch of games though, we drew 1-1 with a team who finished 5th in Masters 3 last year and in the next two weeks we have Nomads and Uni Yoda's, who finished 2nd and 3rd in Masters 1 last season!

Last weekend the Nomads boys got a win over the CT team they lost the knockout final to last season.

I doubt it because he would come at a price and few tech players on here say they don't get paid. so it  will prove either way that club do or don't pay players

I see on the ransfer page that Eric Seekie heading back to Christchurch, playing for Ferrymead Bays, last played for Christchurch for Chch United in both the 2010 and the 2011 seasons, scoring 4 goals - received more cards than goals scored if I recall correctly.

So musta been two late goals for Halswell?  Nomads were winning up until late in the match according to the tweets. Was anyone there?

Let's not talk too much about the Coastal game.
