FC were the team of the season in the end for me. They can only get better from here.

Tech showing their master class "locally" that was one hell of a strong finish to silence the critics. Experience takes the cake. Would have liked to see them lose for once.

Ferrymead to get the last laugh. GET UP! Super form team going up against bad form team. Perfect timing. I'll Def be watching the final. But I think you will find the final will have triple the spectators then the south island game after. Ain't that the truth.

Wow about Fred's constant barrage of slagging. I thought I was the dick here. Is that really Fred Simpson? Shambles. Maybe he can be the one to eat his own words next season.

Slagging? Where and when? Next season, who knows?

I only can recall one other keeper scoring from the free-kick and that was also a Suburbs keeper, Eddie Newman against Halswell at The Nest in the opening game of the season in 2010. On the stroke of half time Suburbs won a free-kick inside their own half near the sideline and Eddie took it and using the wind to good effect swing it into the net at the Port Hills end to give Suburbs a 2 - nil lead going to the break before going on to win 3 - 1. From memory he almost scored from another free-kick earlier in the same game.

What's the latest Golden Boot total AllWhites82?

Mr Andy Tuckey with the golden boot award. Seem to remember saying how class of a player he was and being slated for it. Apparently has a trial with Canterbury United coming up. Well done to the lad.

Well said Wang. Obviously speaks out of the other end of the horse occasionally. Facts and figures tell their own story, not all the story but they do not lie.

Congrats CTFC and John Brown! Rumour mill suggesting big names such as Highfield and a couple others will leave the Bay next season unless they can get an English Cup win. However they go into the match up inform and confident unlike their opposition, who are desperate to go out on a high note. Exciting stuff!

Here that Bays likely to have a couple of familiar faces back for the English Cup Final.

I hear that Macca Tristian Zac Stanley Muss Matt and Evandro are all injured n unavailable at Coastal. Hard to believe I know

Zac and Tristian both went off injured yesterday as Coastal played the last 10 minutes with 10 men to hang on to 2nd.

Yes a few injuries but we'll still field a strong side and hopefully bring home the English Cup. Is a funny feeling being une final but not the Reta F Cup.

Sean Liddicoat certainly will not be there, hopefully he will be making his International debut.

Be interesting to see which clubs will be looking for new coaching staff.

If you believe all the rumours could be as may as four of the MPL clubs.

Yes will be a big day down at English Park next Saturday in what is now going to be a triple header starting with the Stadium Cars Reta Fitzs Cup and then the Stadium Cars English Cup's with the day followed by the South Island Championship Final now at 5pm.

Should be a good day with 4 local clubs involved and the might of Caversham. I hope we pack out the Steve Sumner Stand.

Coastal definitely depleted and Bays certainly showing good form however do they really have enough quality in their squad to overcome a team which has beaten them three times in a row this season?

Finals are finals and anything can happen but Coastal surely hot favourites? Noted injured players will surely strap up and take painkillers to play? Long rest afterwards.

For me personally, Bays are a distinctly average side with a lack of attacking threat (how did Andy Suckey score so many?) combined with statue-like defending. Coastal 3-1 for me.

Coastal without Tristian and Zac are so empty. They are the loyal bread and butters of that spine and the reason Coastal had such a strong defensive record. Not much attacking threat apart from Obrien who hasn't scored in how long?

Andy is actually so underrated. He's an actual poacher with an eye for goal. Seen him score some whammer goals against better defenders then what Coastals plan C and D are.Between him and Pears with Mikey more attacking danger then Coastal. Now we got big Keiran back for the game too with a fully fit Dre looking to impressive Willy BAYS ARE CERTAINLY FAVOURITES

Yes Aw82. A real lack of coaches. Crucial what clubs do have decent coaches hold on to them !! Really interested to see who will get Tech Job. Hutchinson, Colin or Claps?

Was told Ferrymead staff went to watch Coastal rather then their own game. With nothing to play for all round 3 Bays have been preparing for English cup for weeks. Coastal had their eyes closed trying to fight in the league. 100% Bays for this fixture. It's obvious

Yes it will be interesting to see if they give it to Colin Curry and Brando, who have done a brilliant job with their reserves. Possibly Keith Braithwaite to swap back from the women or Claps or Andy Pitman as an outside picks? Whoever they choose they have more options than almost all the other clubs looking put together. Mark of a good club is succession planning.

Yes I imagine Cashmere Technical will have plenty to choose from, I could also add a name or two.

Always surprises just long it takes some clubs to appoint a new coach, little point waiting a few months assuming the out going coach lets the club know they will not be around for 2017.

I known that there are not coaches with experience just standing around waiting for the phone to ring but the sooner you start then you have a better chance of finding a suitable replacement as well as retaining or signing new players.

Well done Vim and thanks for putting in the work week on week.

Picking an outside bet some weeks doesn't make it at the TAB and nor in this comp.

When does Bumblebee get his beers? At the Reta/English Cup/SI Final  and has to finish them before full time in the last game.
