Nah, what I’d seen a couple of weeks back suggested there was still going to be relegation and promotion... unless I read it wrong.

I think it’s all dependent on how many, if any, teams enter masters from the non-masters leagues and what leagues they’ve entered from. Either way I think teams should be looking to avoid those bottom two spots just in case!

Two teams join from the QF league

Went back and re-read what I saw and it's not that clear.  I think they're trying to leave it open for any teams coming up from Senior grades (like the Wanderers this season) to be able to enter at an appropriate level.  No fun for anyone if a team that should be playing Masters 1 is playing Masters 4 or 5.

Either way, come on Tawa!  Ha ha!

Masters one finishes with a playoff for first, a play off for third and a play off for fifth! Couldn’t make that up!

Going to head out to watch your old Wanderers teammates Tyler?

Is someone going to record the Wests v Wharfies game?? Love to watch that... Closest finish to M1 in recent memory surely!

Hell no!  Have you ever watched a Masters game on play back?  What seems slow in real life is so incredibly slow when watching on a screen!

I am however hearing of teams that have had their games moved to 12.30 so that they can get along.  Could break the 100 people gathering restrictions!

Hey guys, I'll see if we can get a Total Football crew up there for match highlights and photos.

Yeah I watched the Dreamers vs Wests first leg and agree, things didn't look as fast as when you're on the pitch. I just want to watch in case there's any late drama...We're playing in Tawa where we hope to avoid the drop so no chance to get along to the game, hence I'd like to watch the game afterwards.

Could be a momentous occasion, a changing of the guard - of sorts.

Cool, so the Total Football NZ team will pop out and do coverage of the game. Will have photos and highlights at least. We are aiming to setup a live stream of the game but that's a work in progress.

Good stuff... Look forward to watching it and see if Greenie & Co can retain their supremacy over the league

Hmm not our fault you changed your club colours to ours! I’ll do a few sit ups before taking the field

Hey folks , we have come into some technical difficulties. We will keep at this for the next 10 minutes, but if all fails we will record the game and post a highlights package.

Yeah, had some issues we will keep trying and hopefully go live by the second half.

1-0 Wests at half time. Brain explosion by the Wharf Keeper and a pen is given.

That's halftime, tense game and Karori will be disappointed to not have capitalised in the first 15. Should be an entertaining second half.

1-0 to Wests at the break.

Streaming screwed out on us but we will have the full match plus a 5-7 min highlights package up on the Total Football NZ Facebook page later in the weekend.

couple of good games at either of of the table by the looks of things.

Wests take out the grade with a 2-1 win over karori, Seatoun ended bottom but managed to hold petone to  nil all draw to close out the season.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Apologies that we couldn't get the stream working on Saturday. It was a good match up, we've got a recording of the game going up online in a day or so.

Thanks heaps to Wests for hosting us.

Hail our new overlords from the West...

Really good tough game against Karori and enjoyed hosting them in the clubrooms afterwards.

The Wanderers really enjoyed our first season in Masters (does help when you win the league). Some really good competitive games.

Look forward to next season!

good to have a finale. Reminded me of a midweek decider v BNU a few moons ago. Think Webby summed it up in speech saying West’s controlled the ball better. Maybe it was the black shirts that saw us passing more to you than us.

Anyone keen on going to Whanganui Masters in mid February but doesn’t have a team?

The West’s Wanderers have entered a side but have had a few pull out so we’re a few short.

Any takers?

Let me know how you get on and if you are desperate closer to the Time. I am in Palmerston North so can reach out to the Marist Masters up here if needed. I know most are already going but there may be some who have missed out

What happened today!!! Wharf and Wests both lose!!! The world has gone mad, thought the wharf had strengthened.

New teams not realising that pre season is strictly banned. Who did west’s lose to (I suppose I can look it up)?

Wests lost to Eastbourne. Maybe it’s a new era?!

To be fair this Wests team has only been in the team for a season...
More shocked by Karori losing to EFC! But ultimately, great for the league.
Heard Petone might be the new powerhouse this year - though hard to tell if those sort of results keep popping up!

Karori lost to Petone dude. Different team to last year.

I had heard Petone dumped a whole heap of last years team and have a very new side.  They played a lot of pre-season games as well I understand.  Expected them to be strong.

I didn't play on the weekend but from what I understand Wests had a bunch of chances we didn't take and Eastbourne scored both of their chances.  Hopefully just a bit of rustiness on our part.

Is the Karori team the same? Are you playing feverish?
