I used to play for the Greeks, so I know what the club is all about. I love the passion, but I also feel that there is a place in football for the banter. Let's not lose sight of that.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite

You should be careful not to come across as thinking you are the only club who have passionate supporters though..

"carefull" ???? I don't think that this was ever the intention... At the end of the day that's why Clubs exist...passionate suporters no matter what happens..

One thing that has clearly emerged through all this banter is that we (all Wellington football fans) all support our Clubs in our own different ways...and that is what makes it great...

The most funny thing about Olympic is they think they are the only club with fans that passionatly support their team. I much prefer BNU fans any day.

Very True. but i think thats what the promblem is for us, we think we are the most passionate and that drives us.

We did bring back the chanting in the Central league. Olympic started it of recent and now Miramar started firing back. Cant wait for our next meeting.

Until you start winning regularly you are just making up the numbers...

Theres nothing like the Olympic bell.

Bring back more passionate football fans all over this oval ball ridden country! Good on on anyone who will support their team in their own way. I hope to see alot more of it with the A-league approaching and I bet we see alot of people from clubs all over welly combining to support the phoenix!

Hi Da Boss, Agree with your Newtown Park comments, so maybe it is time for you guys to move [ Mcalister Park would be a good venue with so many pitches there now] As for your clubrooms, depends how far you want to walk - if the weather is crap or you can not find a park close,you tend to keep driving which is not great as we like to go back to clubrooms as much as possible. Clubs that have their clubrooms at their "HOME" venue will always get more support from the visting teams and supporters. eg Island Bay must pick-up so many sales over a season from teams visting Wakefield Park who are not even playing their teams !!!!

I would very much like to add to this and talk about the passion of the Stop Out supporters. However... it ain't necessarily so. At kick off at last home game there were THIRTY FIVE people in attendance. So I guess that me and Kevin, cos we both shouted a lot*, were the Ultras.... all two of us.... I despair...

* and at our age we should know better.

I fully support your comments on this one, the problem is with that the WCC would have to do a lot of work there to bring the pitch up to Central L standard...this was discussed a couple months ago but all the funding from WCC has gone to upgrade the Newtown 2 ground for Phoenix's permanet training ground...can't win...!!!!

Well "yourmoma"... as far as I know rumours are rumours..no truth in it...

Olympic is staying at Newtown Park, the problem with the "overuse' of the park will no longer be an issue come October this year as by then the NO# 2 will be ready and Team Wellington and Phoenix will be training there.

The League is definitly better for having Olympic in it!
