Capital 18s Upper Hutt City Slayers were smoking and drinking beers on Wakefield 2 today - just saying.

Hey CF,

Can we have some clarity over the discipline issue that rose from the Marist/Stop out Masters match? (one that made the paper).

  • What action have CF taken over the incident?
  • Is the player suspended?

I have it on good authority the individual concerned is being made to go three rounds with Lisa Pahl in a charity boxing match. All proceeds going to Wellington Refs end of season knees-up

Totally understand about rain during the week affecting pitch and quality for subsequent weeks. How did you manage to organise this so that we can watch the Germany-Greec QF of the Euros tomorrow morning?

Cheers!

How many league tables are incorrect? The Cap 5 table couldnt be more wrong, theyve missed an entire round. Currently has Stokes Valley at 4th but i know for sure that theyre top

Capital Football now on Twitter @CapFootball

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Fuck some refs give some ridiculous yellow cards these days. Fed up with paying $35 for fuck all. At the same time they don't book for incidents that warrant it sometimes.

Nice first post.

But yeah, i think a fine for something that isnt putting other players in danger or physically at risk is stupid (except swearing). Ive seen players in lower grades like Cap 5 get yellow cards for things like a handball on halfway. Its dumb.

It also takes away some respect and puts a more negative attitude toward a referee (unfairly) as some see them more as a parking warden collecting revenue rather than a match official.

Allegedly

Same shit happens in Cap Prem. I've played in games where there's been pretty much zero niggle, both teams getting on well and the ref decides to give out cards for soft fouls on half way. To me that's obvious that they're expected to give out cards to keep on budget. Quite often both teams will be baffled as to why it's a card and will have a bit of a giggle at the refs expense. They get the last laugh of course because it's actually at our expense. They will be having a good end of season knees up.

Fuck this stupid game

Jnr Jnr played at KP yesterday morning in pretty sh!te conditions, but the pitch was in very good nick - although I guess it also had a week off with the break in Junior footy.

In previous seasons we would be scraping the mud off the boots, socks, shorts, shirt, car, footpath, doorway, carpet.  But this time the boots were even cleaner than at the start of the game.

*clapping emoticon* (or a thumbs up one)
