Well, Once upon a time there was a Mercantile League run by the
Wellington Soccer Association. There were 4 divisions playing a
league and a cup.
A few years ago the Mercantile League broke a way from Capital
Soccer who were then running the competition.
They changed their name to the Wellington Sunday Soccer League
and continued to play on Sundays with 10 teams.
NOW the competition is being run by SportZone and the competition has 9 teams (1 more would be great - see below) (3 more would be fantastic) playing a league and a cup competition. Teams are based around the Wellington area and come from Porirua to Rongotai to Upper Hutt and Wainuiomata.
The league is loosely structured to allow any players to participate with the only requirement for Cup eligibility being at least 1 league game.

The Wellington Sunday Soccer League never had an age restriction. Just like the Mercantile League before it. It's not supposed to sound like a bunch of young guys chasing a bunch of old guys, there is a ball involved and I hope that everyone is chasing that. Some teams are just better at keeping it than others.
