Strebre Delovski won best referee. Hideously misspelt as "strbre delapski" by our inside man

That's a dud call giving it to Oar over Leckie. Leckie was far more consistent over the course of the season. I'm hugely impressed with his attitude as well as his ability - no cheating, no diving, no petulance.

He's the new Harry Kewell.

Sydney take fair play award. Not one that was ever going our way.

The day after McFlynn breaks Kruses leg.

Obviously chose to ignore Alex Brosque in the final assessment.

is it just awarded on a mathematical-fewest-cards basis? Cos Sydney had the fewest.

FUN FACT - the top two teams received the fewest cards this season.
FUNNER FACT - they only received one red card each. Both against us.

PS. This just in - Goal of the Year goes to Archie Thompson. Which goal would that be for?

Lol. Not with Manny, Brown, Sigmund, Lia, etc efforts in that area this season. Plus the extra whistles from bias Aussie Ref Williams, it was one award that was never in the running.

Trying to think of the Thompson goal. The only ones that stick in the mind were the lob over Ben Kennedy against the Jets and the 4th in the 4-0 win over GCU. Maybe there's one I'm missing because neither were as good as at least a dozen others I can think of.

Much better shot of Mrs Ifill further on:

Young Player Of The Year: Tommy Oar, Brisbane Roar.

Referee of the Year: Strebre Delovski

Fair Play Award: Sydney FC

Goal Of The Year: Archie Thompson

Golden Boot: Shane Smeltz

Goalkeeper of the year: Eugene Galekovic.

Hernandez went completely AWOL last night and has when the pressure has been on other times this season.

Disappointed for Iffy.

We actually are beating them on the red carpet walk. The gals in their dresses are stroking in it. Only Mrs Mckain dress was a bit of an eyesore with the stripes and the gal in image 61 was mint. Everyone else sucks big time. If it was Hollywood, they would be ripped apart by the fashion media. Talk about boring black dresses and then out of dated wardrode. Even Mrs Ifill's fairy flock was better by being simple and in shape and I am not a fan of the fairy flocks either.

Merrick for coach is a weird one. If its done by results, then sydney won over melbourne,so Lavicka (?) shouldve got it. If the criteria is getting a side to perform above and beyond, then its probably Ricki.

What do you guys think? Merrick just seems like an odd choice.

really strange one. didn't pick that one. I had the same feeling as you either Lavicka or Herbert.

Wouldnt Hernandez get it by default?

For all the prattling from some corners that Lavicka had the same squad as last year and did so much better.  He had Colosimo, Byun, Kisel and importantly Colosimo that Cosmina didn't have last year.  That's some significant change.

All Ricki really had was Greenie and Ifill for most of the season and they had to replace Smeltz.

Realistically the decision was probably made before last nights match and at that point Ernie lead the league with Kemp, Muscat, Celeski and Archie all missing for periods and Allsopp running out from under him.
